Hobbywing Max6 1650KV combo

I don't think that 100mph with the Max6g2 and the 4990 1650kv is a problem. I have this setup in my felony and it has been in the 90's but is not geared for top speed. I also have the Max5 and the 4990 1650kv in my limitless and have been 110mph on 8s on a short road.

I figured as much! Nice! I bet that limitless gets it, I had a speed run typhon 6s awhile back running xlx2 and a castle 2400kv motor and was able to reach 121mph before I decided to go a different route and sell everything. Now that I’ve got my infraction I’d like to see what I can do with a legit street setup, gt body and all

I like the hobbywing combo (Max6g2 and 4990 1650kv) so much I have one waiting to go in my infraction v2.

You must have a much better road I do.

I strongly believe geared correctly this max6 1650kv will absolutely do 120+ mph especially on 8s. Get some cap packs and let it fly with a 34T spool and speed pinion. I will for sure push this motor and esc to see what I can achieve. If I can beat my PR of 121mph I’ll beyond happy and continue to see what it can do until it doesn’t improve. Set goal for this season is 130mph I’ll make it happen one way or another lol

A number of people also told me that the Max 6 amps out at about 100mph on 6s with the 1650 and can’t be pushed higher. Then I saw several Tubers get between 120-130 out of them.
I did install a G1 Max 6 with 1650 and a cap pack on my last 1/8 speed build, but it’s yet to see the street.

That’s awesome, man. I started two threads about this and only ever got crickets. I’ve wondered for awhile now how much people have been able to squeeze out of a Max 6 combo. Mine are currently all the non-sensored ones. I’m sure the new G2’s will do even better.

This one is the older non sensored as well. I am going to get a cap pack installed to cover my ass a bit and not amp out. I think I be able to get it to push past the 120mph mark. That’s good to know that about that happening to people, wonder if they had some kind of cap pack on it or was just rippin it? But that being said, 8s is what I’ll be running with 34T spool and a big ol pinion gear. Wish me luck

All of mine are the newer g2 with blue tooth. It's a very good system for the money.

Let's talk gearing, on my lim v2 it comes with a 39 spool and I could only start with a 31t spur i am now running a 32T. How are you going to run a 34t spool? Are you going 1=1 or to over drive it?
