These are my go to replacement pinions, RR Xtra hard, expensive but worth it. Stock 16 tooth broke loose at end of brutal bash, son driving Outcast on 6s cuz his Typhon went rear wheel drive only. Pinion jammed/spun into motor mount and mount bolt. Such pretty metal shavings! Spur OK, pinion not.

Thanks for the tip. I was getting too much heat when using 16T on 6S. It was shutting down the ESC. I was using a cooling fin and fan on the motor. What is your experience? Thanks.

@Truevine I run smaller 6s hardcase SMC 4300mah 40-80c packs and never break 140s motor, 115-120s esc with 16 pinion. Usually run pretty hard, but not always continuous during runs. Think using a lighter pack helps keep temps down with less weight resistance for the electronics to handle. I keep an eye on my temps with small pocket temp pen from Dynamite, use Harbor Freight gun as well. Not using fan/heatsink either yet, but summer is coming...Lol.
