Decided to semitruggify sons Typhon for rougher terrain. Just finished putting Kraton axels, hubs, and hex's front and back, gave 1inch wider stance plus lots more with Proline 3.8s. I'll report back how she bashes. Big boost in ground clearance.
Rich Duperbash, what wheel and tires did you use? Do they make 1/2 offset buggy wheels or are these 3.8 truck wheels. Same question on the tires. They do make offset hubs for 1/8 vehicles, ofna has a collection of hubs with different offsets. These got popular when the truggies first came out.

@NITROMAN2000 those are Proline 3.8 tires mounted on Proline 3.8 Desperado 1/2" offset rims. I taped with one wrap of 2" gorilla tape and just glued them last night. Think they come with same rim as premounts, but didn't want major ballooning when trying 6s...Etc. Hoping to test today.

How's she drive? Do you miss the original Typhon configuration at all? (Such a quick little devil in stock configuration with Badlands buggy tires)

@Stanleybb50 she's still screaming fast on 6s even with 3.8s, probably jumps better with more rotational mass and softer landings. Going wider with Kraton axels, hexes, and hubs has made her way more stable and fun. Check out 2 vids I posted in media. I slapped on F11 rims with Glocs 2.8 internally webbed, not taped, offset rim, made her like a go cart in the street, just won't traction roll.
