Heat issued solved? Was starting to think 18 tooth RR Extra Hard was too big for Nero motor in Outcast when temps spiked over 160f. Pinion slipped back and was making friends with the motor mount.

That is not a good friendship.

For sure not a good friendship. The RR pinion didn't even have a scratch unlike the Arrma 16 that spun loose a while back...Lol. Truck ran until I was done, glad I stopped to check my temps. Thought maybe a diff was starting to go...Lol. Just heard an occasional soft grinding noise, the motor mount crying out for mercy?

      Good find !!!
What's the temp pen u use ? I need to get me one.

That happened to me on my Kraton and Senton. Now I use a very generous amount of blue locktight on the grub screw and let it sit 24hrs before running whenever I change a pinion. Steel pinions are no match for aluminum! Nom-Nom-Nom.

@Camo small silver one made by Dynamite/Horizon, DYN2529, bring it with me every bash, temps are very close 1-2 °f to full size temp gun.

@Dubbl-A this one had me miffed. Used plenty of locker. Think I skipped cleaning new pinion/grub screw though. Usually clean with brake cleaner to remove factory residues/oils prior to threadlocker.

That's a good idea. I never cleaned the grub screws other than quickly scraping off old thread locker.
