@72Z15SS I am not sure i did take it on the beach hence the rusty shafts

There is a little washer/shim that goes just on the left of the left bearing (in the picture). It is actually the same(est) diameter as the bearing, but has a much larger hole. If that was not seated correctly, or missing, then it could allow sand to enter the gearbox.

Use some black RTV "NOT Ultra Black" to seal every little crack around the diff and that should keep the dirt out.

I know this is old as heck but you should use some PB Blaster after wet runs/cleaning on the metal parts to prevent rust and lube things up.
