@j1980mac Thanks man. I haven't needed a heat sink or fan as of yet with 16T. You'll probably be fine without one, the Outcast has good air flow due to body design with large wheel wells, flaired bottom edges, open tail cut out, and large openings in from mud guards on chassis. Think natural cooling is plenty with this design. We get lots of 100-110f near Sacramento in the summer so we'll see this summer. Besides lots of WOT, high traction driving... pavement, loamy dirt/grass with lots of hard starts/stops, those probably create the most load on motor. As long as you check periodically with gun, you're golden. Can always gear up or down to your liking and comfort zone.

I would love to go 6S...but I am gun shy on account of all the added stress it will place on the DT and other components with a 16T Pinion.
Mind you, I do have a Robinson Racing pinion, and I plan to shim the diffs, thicker diff oil etc.
Maybe once those pieces are done...and summer rolls around I will make the jump.
Given this is my first high powered RC, going from 12T to 16T will be a big enough step on 4S.
As with most things in life, patience is the order of the day...baby steps for me before I go 'whole hog'...is a good idea me thinks.

@Rich Duperbash No problem, and great to know about the heatsink. It stays 105-110° most of the summer, and sometimes gets up to 115° here.

So is there anything you can do to the Kraton body to make it more "breathable"?

@j1980mac you can vent it with holes using a Dremel or body reamer up front, haven't needed to yet, mine is in pieces right now, built Hybrid Outcast for my son with it and Typhon chassis.
