Strenght & Protection
@dpricenator LMAO it's at the construction site. I just bought my rig a couple months ago and got caught up in the upgrade game. It's seen high schools, town parks and the street so far brotha. The cold has settled in here in upstate ny (rochester) so my bashing days are numbered as she won't be a snow basher. That's what the skis and snowmobile are for LOL

don't flat guards like that just deflect crud forwards into the diffs and such? I'm currently looking at 3d printing some with a bend to deflect it up and over

@Trillium My guess is that there is no perfect solution but my use for these is to protect the rear shocks. I bought the Full option Teckno shocks at full price, making them one of the priciest upgrades on my car. Those plates, keep the shock body from getting dented by flying gravel, that gets spit out by the front tires. It also keeps mud and dirt off the shock shafts, preventing it from fouling the up and down movement. I use the Outcast front guards and the outcast tall sides, to keep the dirt out of the inside. I used to go bash and the inside would be full of wood chips gravel. I lost a pinion and spur gear to gravel on the inside. Those outcast parts keep the inside clean, but that set of rear dirt guards are to protect the shocks.
