Arrma RC's
  1. Fazon
Hello every body,
I just got a Fazon, the only Arrma joining my Traxxas fleet. I wonder if I can use Traxxas radio for the Fazon so that I only need to take 1 remote control with all the cars? Is that difficult to do?
Thanks in advance

Should be fine if you also install a Traxxas receiver that you are able to bind with. I installed a Traxxas tqi and receiver in my Fazon build.

I know that you put this in the Nero, Big Rock, Fazon category but since you are new to the forum as well as Arrma, I am just curious. Do you have the 6s Fazon (which is discontinued) or the 2wd Fazon Voltage (still in production)? If you have the 6s Fazon, which this section of the forum is for, it will be as simple as swapping out the receiver for a Traxxas receiver and syncing it to your transmitter. If you have the 2wd Fazon Voltage it may be more of a hassle as I believe that those use a 3 in 1 part. I believe it is the servo, esc and receiver all in one part, so that may require more work to use a different transmitter with it.

Thank you all for all the inputs.
I just bought it 2 day ago. It is a Fazon 6S still produced in and shipped from China (I am in Vietnam), I saw the label on the remote saying that it is qualified for sale in Europe.
For the concern, I know I can install Traxxas TX and RX to control the truck, I have swapped back and forth on my Traxxas trucks but only 2 channel. This Fazon here has diff brain which need 3 channels and some mapping on TX that I don't know. Maybe I need to open the RX box to see what to do.
Because it is still new, I don't know if I should open all the diffs to see if oil or grease has dried up.
I also found that Arrma out-of-the-box throtle control is more aggressive, not as smooth as Traxxas. Traxxas remote can do micro movement, and can reverse the truck immediately while moving forward slowly, I couldnt do that with my Fazon (I am new to Arrma :)). Maybe I miss something.

You should be able to adjust the punch setting of the esc to calm down your violent launches.

I built my Fazon from scratch with no diff brain. It is a shelf queen and never run. I still have to pull the diffs and seal the holes to run diff fluids at some point; it just isn’t a priority since it sits there looking pretty :D

I opened the RX box, it seems bloody complicate, there is a small circuit board with all servo wires coming in and out of it. I will just leave it there for a while :p
I also found that the servo in the front diff keep trying to correct itself, making noise and draining battery, so I opened and rebuilt the servo arm but still can not solve it. Finally I decided to disconnect that servo, think I wont be using the front diff lock much (for crawling). But it is quite disappointing about the initial quality.
The stock servo seems too weak, slow. Need to upgrade it soon.
