Typhon Will this 20t pinion work on Typhon 3s?

Installed the 20t in mine today and holy heck this thing runs like a scalded jackrabbit. Thought it was quick before but it’s on a whole different level now. Not sure it’s even controllable really...the ground is wet here so haven’t had a chance to really run it on dry land yet.

Any cogging/delay from a dead stop?

Not at all. Something's wrong w/ that dudes BR. Mine is just like it was on the 15t...can't notice any difference on startup.

It's mine, lol. My Granite does the same thing with a 20t.

So I can kind of see what you're talking about if it's from a complete stop. It hesitates just a touch...but not NEARLY as bad as yours. Have you adjusted your punch setting? Mine is on 1...so maybe that's it? If I'm rolling at all, there is no hesitation at all.

I didn't realize you had a Typhon. The BRCC has bigger tires and the load will be different than a 20t on a Typhon. If you put a 23t on yours it would be like me running a 20t in my Big Rock. I run a 17t on my Granite and it runs just like your Typhon on a 20t. Thanks for making the video. I really appreciate it.

LOL, we're in the Typhon forum, on a Typhon 3S 20t thread. I have a set of original Badlands that just arrived I'm gonna stick on it for grass running, so the load should be a little closer to the Big Rocks tires. We'll see how that goes once I get them glued up and on the buggy. But I think you're in a good spot with the 17...I may go down to that w/ the bigger tires.

Oops! That was a total brain fart on my part! Even the title of the thread specifies Typhon.

You made the right call with the 20t. If I owned one that would be the first thing I would do. I'm not sure why it doesn't come standard. A 15t makes it the slowest of all the 3s BLX vehicles.

Even on the 15t it was quick enough for my cul-de-sac....but yeah if I'm gonna get it out in the grass or open areas, the 20t is gonna be just fine.
