I bought a arrma fury mega off a buddy I’m haveing trouble trying to figure out what shocks I can use for upgrading and other upgrades it’s the original fury mega any help would be great .
It doesn't say if you are looking for something cheap and simple, or something a bit more pricey. While i cant help with the more pricey options, i run these on the back of my Fury: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0Y46K4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and these on the front: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00S4SG6KI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For reference, almost any 1/10 80MM eye to eye shock will fit the front, and almost any 1/10 98MM eye to eye will fit the rear. For the rears, i actually used cheap upgrades for the Redcat Volcano, and, for the fronts, i searched for 80MM shocks. There are a lot of choices on Amazon and Ebay.
They seem to hold up pretty decent, but, they will leak if your run them too hard (as in, lots of large jumps in a short time). I have them on not just the Fury, but a Redcat Volcano/Tornado hybrid i built, and i also use the rears on a Redcat Blackout XTE. One thing i just noticed though, the links are backwards. The 80MM are for the front, and the 98MM are for the rear. One thing i like about them, is that if you set the rears a bit soft, the Fury will lift the inside front wheel on turns, just like the real trucks do, and it helps a bit with turning for some odd reason. As for modifications, i didn't have to do any, except swap the Fury shock balls to them, because the originals the hole is a bit small, so, all i did is popped the original shock off the ball, and left the ball screwed to the chassis and just popped the new shocks on.How are those shocks holding up for you? Did they require any mods? I'm thinking of upgrading my shocks to those as well.
