I just charged my new "Turnigy Graphene Panther 5000mAh 6S 75C Battery Pack" for tomorrow. I'm sure it will be ok overnight, or maybe it will be out stalking prey and be flat when I go to use it.

These are a super tight fit, I see it as a good and bad thing. Good that it can't move around in the car and get damaged, bad that it is so tight if it swells at all it's got no where to swell and might put pressure on the battery box?

I hope these panthers are ok, I'm happy to pay less than what my other 6s batteries were, but if it's all just marketing and not a good product, then it will be disappointing.

Nicest looking battery I've seen

OH really? Wow, OK thanks
Steve, I heard of people that do this. I personally wouldn't and do not recommend it. Sounds extreme.

My point is if people do this and doesn't wreck there packs, keeping them in a cool garage should be ok.

I keep my packs inside my house at ambient temperature. If you treat your packs right and keep them in storage mode when not used, you don't have to keep them in a bomb shelter.

Don't overthink storing lipos.

It will be fine overnight, charged many lipos the night before and keeps full charge next day. Is your pack hard or soft pack.?

I just bought 2 SMC lipos for my Rustler 4x4 VXL, they also fit tight in the tray, but I'm not worried because of the hard case. I can't see them puffing with that case.

I seen Vas from Aussie Playground run a new Turnigy 6s Graphine in his Notorious. Ran like a scalded ape but it puffed on him with just a few runs. He was not happy.

Not talking bad about that battery it could just be a fluke. Nothings perfect. You should be good with it though. Let us know how you like it, heard from some people on here that are very pleased with the Graphenes.

It's hard not to over think lipos when there's allot of scary lipo posts and warnings out there. I need to learn how to "treat" them. I like to know my boundaries when dealing with anything dangerous. Also I'd like to treat them the best I can. When reading some post don't even keep them in your house and some say it's OK. The people that say it's OK I think fully understand lipos. Actually this thread is more about storing, so if I am keeping them in a garage and it gets to 40, 35 degrees I just wanted to know if that's bad with a full or 3.85v battery.
OK so I think you're right... The basement might be the perfect place for them.
Another question I have is about batteries in sealed containers.
Should a battery always 100% be in a vented container?
Please explain outgasing during storage

I've been keeping lipos inside the house for 15 years. You can keep them in a vented ammo box or similar can for added safety. Or even a lipo sack. Like I said don't overthink it or let it frighten you STORING lipos.

I've heard of people storing them in cold garage so you should be good there. But like I said I keep mine inside so the temperature is constant. There are many good sites online with solid advice on using, changing, and storing lipos.

Here's one

Plenty info on not only charging

I've run the 4s ones, but not the"new" panther one's, the are good, but 4s is too slow. I will have a surprise coming up for my Kraton that may allow me to use those 4s packs more effectively, Haha.

They are like a medium hard, they are wrapped in a thick heat shrink type plastic.
