I watch as many of your vids as i can. Very informative and unbiased. Radio is definitely crap. Other than that i think its a very well performing truck like you do. Could use a better chassis and braces but i wonder how much more arrma would charge for them if they revised them to be cnc'd.

I have always said he tells it as he sees it. No brown noseing. This review reinforces that. When I joined this forum early this year I waited for this truck to become a reality not knowing if it truly was coming. Held off on the V3.

Rumers floating around on the new Spektrum coming. I made a comment if they offered a new crappy Spektrum it would be a step backwards. Someone commented Arrma doesn't step backwards so I changed my comment to stepping sidewards to not step on toes here.

Wish I never did that and stood by my statement and not let anyone intimidate me here. So I will say, Arrma took a giant step backwards with this model and the other 6s rigs. Not only the radio but the servo saver also. Since all this I have purchased 5 new Arrma rigs and I will voice my opinion no matter what any fanboy thinks.

I should have bought the V3s now that I know better. Having to change over all these crappy radios I'm no too happy about. The only thing that I'm ok with is that I got the V4s for the same price of the V3 the week it dropped. Vent over!
Hey there, with all those RC cars in your collection you really should just get yourself a system that can program all your cars instead of having 5 or more radios. One controller to rule them all!!!!!

Yeah, I'm looking into that. I have a new radio in the box with at least 6 recievers that I had from years back. Just getting back to the hobby earier this year with 12 cars now. I asked on here if anyone used this model.

Had several replies from, get rid of it, to it's really glitchy, to junk, put it on Ebay. I even read bad reviews on it, so I'm afraid to even use it. Guess who makes it? I give a hint, it comes on the 2019 Arrma models.

Yes a Spektrum! DX3R to be exact.
They will never get another cent of my $!!
Nor will I ever again buy anthing with their name on it. Can you tell I'm pi$$ed off!!

Haha, well I basically lost my Nero due to all the crap that's been happening with Hobbico, Traxxas, and Horizon. I'm annoyed as well. I have the Futaba 4PV. There are a lot of options out there. My thought is instead of another RC car, for now, invest in a worthy radio system.

That's the plan. That model Futaba is on my list. How do you like it?

Futaba Rx’s are expensive though aren’t they?
Expensive is a very subjective thing. $30 may be expensive for one person and $300 cheap for another. With that said, i would research them and find the best bang for buck system that can fulfill your needs and your price range. Personally, I consider it an investment. There is no way I want, example, 5 separate radios for 5 different cars. My thought is if you have more than one or two, and plan on purchasing multiple rigs, a radio system that can control them all is more than worth it, even if you may have to put off another rc car purchase for a bit.

100% agree with this. Although, I have too many cars to have only 1 radio for them all and if I did that then I couldn't do videos like RC Race Wars. But my situation is different from others, so currently I have 3 radios I use - Futaba 4PLS and 3PV, and a Spektrum DX5C. I do have my eye on the new Futaba 4PM to substitute my aging 4PLS, so that might happen soon...
So yes, invest I a good radio (within your budget) and you won't regret it.

Love it, more than I will ever need. Remember, Spektrum makes cheap low quality stuff, like what's currently in our 2019 Arrma's, but they make high quality and mid range as well. I'm hearing good things about the Spektrum DX5 Rugged. $199 on Tower, not bad.

If we're talking multi model radios, i recently switched to a Flysky FS-GT5 which can be found for 60$, it's a 6 channel with gyro (AVC like), every receiver is 25$, BUT, it also work with a non-AVC 3ch FS-A3 receiver, which is under 8$!

I like this remote better than my Tactics, and at that price it's a no-brainer i think.

The parts category was based on ALL of ARRMA's products currently available. I don't entirely disagree that the score could have been worse, but to be fair, there's only a few parts that are new on the V4 and a lot of the existing parts carried over from the previous models are available.
The issue, I think, is the changing of the guard - Hobbico to Horizon. And the fact that there was a period there where no one knew if ARRMA were even going to continue, so factories halted production. This was discussed during my interview with Jason. Once Horizon took over, production started again, but they have been playing catch up ever since and looked after their biggest market first - America. Everyone else has to wait. I'm sure it won't be like this for much longer, but it just feels like it's taking longer than it should...
Ok gotcha. I thought your parts availability score was specific to the V4 Kraton. Yep we have issues with parts here, been slowly getting better but there is a lot of room for improvement.

Looking forward to your next vids esp the review on the 4S Kraton. Keep them coming, as imo your the most balanced reviewer out there. Thanks for the explanation and your involvement with this forum

@Aussie RC Playground Just watched your review and I totally agree with the points you make and what you say..

I had that exact same thing happen to me where the rear of the chassis bent downwards..??

Quick shopping trip to M2C fixed that..?? but it doesn't excuse Arrma really for a partially bad design with the tower brace.

Overall I think its a great truck though and almost worth the money.. ( minus that totally pants radio )

Keep up the good work..??
