You might want to stand by @The Donut Man as I hope to beat my PB today. You can just make a single edit and give @Edough13 his third fourth place entry 😜🤘🏻✌🏻
Hey either way from way down the list to #4 I'll take it! Still top 5 and just starting with 8s 😉 Good luck out there today brother put something up to make me work at👊

Looks like I need to step up my game 👀 I wonder how fast the "average" speed build will end up being with the recent advances in tech, xlx2, better motors from both CC and TP, etc. It would be cool to see the entire leaderboard suddenly jump up 20mph

It's more than just motor and ESC's though. Yes a good motor and esc will get you a long way but other things contribute a lot to it as well. I made 1 change, not ESC or motor, and jumped 15mph. Batteries are another huge factor as well.

Oh absolutely. I meant more as just reference to a couple of examples. Batteries are huge, tires are huge, at that speed even having more balanced driveshafts can make a difference

It will have to wait for another day. Tried running in the cold and couldn’t keep it on the road. Video coming.

That's ok I'm not running either until my Scorched shafts get here really hoping tomorrow as they left San Francisco yesterday. You consider running Hoons yet😂🤣 Sorry I had to😜

HAHAHAHAAHhaaaaaaaa ughhhh 🤣😂😢😢😢

I will stick with my GRPs. It was dumb to try and make a PB pass on a day where snow is literally falling. I just had to get out and try. Couldn't help myself. Honestly I think it was my driving and not the tires anyways. I was trying so hard to not overcorrect it on the big end that I let it get too far right and it grabbed the edge of the road. Here is a frame grab from the video I will be uploading today.

Very wise not to do that second run. Pushing for better is a recipe for disaster (y)(y)(y)
That and I blew my expectations out of the water and think I may go to a single pass from now on to make sure I'm getting all the voltage I can👍 and as you seen I was ecstatic and was shaking for about an hour or two after the pass😂

Come on JD you know better than that the cold alone is a b!tch to try and run in let alone some ❄️ too. There's always another day, I know I'm the same way and as soon as someone gets close or passes me I get the itch HARDCORE to go make a pass and pull a PB. I'm just still in shock I caught up to you brother and thank you for all the help and keeping the competition going! Going to be one hell of a year! Also can't believe in just over 3 months I went from 64 to 137!!! Let's keep it going brother 👊

You have a tally on the total damage? Looks to be a few things dangling that shouldn't be. Hope it's not too excessive.

$3.50 Trust me, I'm an expert. I can tell what is broken by the pixels.

158km/h ~ 99 mph. Not so impressive maybe. but it's on 4S.
It's a 4S PB, good enough to kick @Edough13 of his current third (4S) position.

On extreme gearing very typical behavior, like it was hitting the max amp draw of the 2p batteries. Something very odd had happened. The pinion lost it's grub screw in a run before. Instead of flying away it had gone inward and molded itself back on the axle even grinding into the mount. It does explain the high ampdraw.

That is a strange data log. Throttle is holding 100%, voltage is holding, but the amperage and power out is going in and out? Never seen one do that...

It must have been the pinion grinding causing peaks or something. I do have smoothing set to low. Most odd is the the dip before full throttle. Except for that it does look similar to a protection kicking in.

Here an example of what voltage cutt-off looks like on a set of sagging zop batteries.

Only things broken are 3D printed parts. The front splitter is aluminum and was bent and twisted, but a little persuasion did the job. Filament cost is probably $1.82 (91g) plus a minor amount of electricity to power the printer and it’s likely a $3.50 loss 🤘🏻
