I have a fresh v2 on it's way to complete my "arrmy" and was wondering if there was any recommendations or tips my fellow Infraction owners could give me besides normal truck prep (i.e. screws, fluids, gear mesh etc).

Any notable weak points, necessary/beneficial upgrades before my first bash, part manufacturers besides Hot Racing and Basherqueen?

I'm looking at doing the side skirt/diffuser bit. I'm pretty good with controlling throttle so I'm not super worried about wrecking the truck. I saw the aluminum basher bumper on eBay but not for $50. I like it but I'm not adding weight and eliminating some shock absorbtion for bling.

Oh and any recommendations on a servo and servo horn, alternate wing, light kit and fans. I heard this sucker runs hot and wanna keep it cool from bash 1 and on. Appreciate it guys!

40mm fans high velocity. As per your title lots of hoons or GRP tires. Perfect pass makes a good CF set. Heavier weight fluid in the center diff is a must. I have 500k in mine.

If the front tires a spinning /slipping it will help keep the slip, reduced by keeping them more closely matched to the speed that the rears are turning

I'm going to be running aluminum skids, front bumper, and skirts on my rig, all from StupidRC on Ebay. Also aluminum rear dam diffusers. I like the scorched titanium ones, but they're far more expensive and the sparks really aren't as impressive as you might think, at least from what I have seen. I am however going to run the infill and inner fenders from Scorched.

The forum consensus seems to be to switch to running GRP's with the hard rim. You'll get more life from the tires. I'm going to be running the S7 compound as I want more life from the tires and AZ is hot.

For cooling I'm going to run dual 40mm aluminum Powerhobby fans on a dual 40mm Alza racing mount.

I always run Amazon servos in my Kraton, so I'm going to grab a 20kg Amazon Servo to compare to stock and run whichever one is faster. I think the ADS servo is still 25t so no need for a new horn, but I'm not 100% on that.
Will those fenders fit mt felony!?
Felony specific fenders from Scorched:

Edit: Oh lights! Polo Creations all the way. Their stuff looks amazing and took a real beating on my Kraton. They'd have no issues on an Infraction.

The Infraction and Felony share the major parts, but there's enough unique parts for the Felony that makes it not worth converting one to the other

The fenders I listed are for the Infraction that only fits under the Infraction body. They do sell fenders specific for the Felony though

So far I have ordered the Scorched RC inner fends and shaft covers, hr servo horn(needed it anyway), PowerHobby heatsink with dual fans, bearings for steering and a full set of GRP S7's. The wheels should be here by the time I annihilate the Hoons. 🤣 Anyone running aftermarket fans for the ESC? Just wondering if it's worth upgrading that. If so, what size fan does it use?

Parking lot was to rough. Decided to run my Infraction on the all dirt softball infield. No fenders, bad idea. I was having a blast until it hit the heat cut off. Shut everything off went home, blew all the dirt off with the compressor. Turned the controller on then the car. Steering works, throttle works. NO fans. Killed them. The fine dirt and small rocks beat the heck out of the fan blades and seized the motors. Both of them, the motor fan and the heat sink. Harsh lesson.
Fender kits for my Infraction and Felony are on the way. No dirt for these two.

I have found that type of sand has a lot of iron fines in it. They will stick to the magnets in the fan motor and jam them up. You might want to pull your motor shaft out and clean the magnets in there just in case. You can use some blue tack, just press it to the magnets and it will stick to the metal fines and pull them away.

When I was running the stock esc, I had a 35mm powerhobby fan in there. A lot better then stock but surely not as good as a 40x40x28mm fan running off a 3s lipo…
