Didn't Tower show a late March delivery date on the Backflips like 2 days ago? It says late April now....

Screw it. I'm about to get some some Badlands...I hate these Minokawa's. At least they are in stock. Anyone know when the Revo 2.0 tires will be sold?

I'm a bit intrigued with the EXT's as well. There's a set on the bay that's being bid to high heaven so I can wait for the car breakers. In the meantime, I found an old set of Geode's I had from my 3.3. They're the same size as the EXT's, they feel the same, & have the same tread thickness. I don't remember the last time I ran these tires but I threw a bit of glue on them & wrenched them on my Kraton. They were sick. Grip & traction for days. I turned up the punch to 7 & had the thing rolling backflipping like it was nothing. They impressed me so much I bought another set. If 10+ year old Geode's can do that, a new set should be insane.

. . .& they are cheap too :D https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-5309-Tra...:ncUAAMXQkHJRFp4J:sc:USPSPriority!60426!US!-1

I've got the Badlands (still need to mount on my DE Racing Speedline wheels) for my V3 Talion & I was able to get some Backflips (from jennysrc) for my new Kraton. Keep in mind the Badlands are only 5.85"x2.72" (HxW), compared to the stock Minokawa tires which are 6.5'x3.3". The Badlands on the Talion are a perfect size (unless you want to change to bigger Kraton hubs/axles in order to run bigger tires on the Talion). However, Badlands do look small on the Kraton. The Backflips are even taller at 6.8", so Badlands are almost 1" less tall. This is a big difference in height and the Kraton "MONSTER TRUGGY" loses a lot of ground clearance + some of it's monster name...

Those do look pretty tempting. Would you say these are better than the Badland MX's?

Yeah, I don't think I want to go that route. I didn't realize they were that much smaller...I knew they were smaller but not that much.

Yes, the difference is quite noticeable, especially when you put the the 3.8" Badlands beside the Backflips. Pro-line also makes a bigger badder MX38 Badlands tires which is huge & designed for Monster Trucks, not really truggies. It is almost 7' tall at 6.91" and extremely wide at 3.70". I gather it is also quite heavy (harder on diffs, motor, etc) & not sure about ballooning?

I only run the MX's on my Outcast & MT410. The longer wb cars tend to make them balloon like crazy in all directions & no amount of strapping will keep them in check for long. I really don't mind the ballooning but it's much easier to control on the Outcast & MT410. They make it seem like an artform. As for the Geode's (I know that's what the rim is called but the tire is nameless), They are definitely the same compound as the EXT's. I haven't run the new set yet as I have been ripping with the old set on my Kraton for the past few days. They are a much better choice for the Kraton than the MX's. Control, traction, & grip are all great with max ballooning which is slightly more than the Backflips.

Some good news. I just bought some on-line Arrma parts at hobbyhobby in Canada. They have a large in stock supply of Arrma parts (even the hard to find diff gaskets, o-rings, shims, new V3 gearbox, complete diffs, composite ball cup kits, etc, etc). They even have some aftermarket parts for Arrma. I gather, maybe just need to look a little, as lots of Arrma parts are out there...

I just went on Towers website tonight and saw the backflips were listed as in stock. I would order some but I'm kind of short on cash right now. Kind of a bummer cuz I really want some.

I've heard some good things about Proline's Shockwaves.

Shockwaves r deff a good tire but honestly best 1s I ran are the masher I have the 3.8 trencher belted and they r great but the way the mashers ballon even on 6s is amazing the ballon horizontally making for a larger foot print AND ADDED traction plus have good cushion for big air. Deff re adjust your endpoints on it.
