So I ran my 2nd battery today (4s) in my new Outcast and towards the end of the battery, my steering just stopped work, kinda seem like the controller wasn’t working but the throttle forward and reverse works fine, just no steering but the servo seemed to have tension didn’t seem like the servo was stripped.

I also noticed the esc would start to blink green for a one second and then start blinking RED until I turned the tx/rx.

So not sure if this means anything but I switched the throttle and steering ports on receiver. The throttle then worked when I move the steering wheel on the controller so... does that mean the servo is the issue because the trigger did nothing to turn?

How do I determine if it the controller, servo, or esc? Please help this is my very first RC.

Hard to hear it but it sounded like your servo stripped out. Very common for the center gear to strip. Happen to me. If you turn the wheels by hand and leave the wheels turned, left or right, then try and steer the truck with the remote to see if it works. And turn the truck off and turn the wheels by hand and listen to the servo as you do it. See if it sounds smooth. Also, over the winter I was beating on it to hard in the snow on 6s and burnt up my ESC. It would steer but my throttle wouldn't work then I tried it the next day and the throttle worked but not the steering. Had my ESC tested at my local hobby shop and it was junk. I ended up putting the Max6 in it.
