Get on bang good.,I seen sets of 4 for around that price not sure on the quality but the price point is where you want it to b. I'm a proline guy personally. I've ran the Louise Mt. They r alot like the duratrax 6 pack I'm pretty sure but for my style of driving I only run prolines or db backflips ,scorpions or the copperheads. But if your looking for a cheaper set of tires check it out and then let me know how they work. It' over 100 every ime I buy tires so to find something that can compete at that price point of b interested to kno about it lol.

Get the duratrax x cons unmounted and they will be close to your $40 budget for all 4. These things grip like crazy. I can get my talion to do a front flip if I hit the brakes too hard depending on what surface and I have my brakes dialed down to 40% epa. It also wears good on asphalt for whatever reason.

Are the outcast wheels 3.8 inches? The duratrax tires are 3.8, o realized that you have a outcast. The diameter is too small for the x con. The x con is like a standard racing truggy tire so the diameter is only 5.7 inches while the dboots backflips are 6.8 inches.

The problems with the Backflips are the same as its merits. They are ribbed & have reinforced sidewalls. This minimizes ballooning but air can get trapped inside while the tire is ballooning. The air pressure then attacks the weak points in the tire & escapes by ripping it. Venting the tire eliminates this, plugging up the rim holes & putting 2 holes 180° each other in the center of the tire thread. I use a soldering iron to do it. I have 3 sets of Backflips that have been beat to hell & back on 6S+ (1 set on 8S) with re-gluing being the only maintenance.

The tire can also be repaired using Starbond KBL-500 & a black/orange patch adhered to the inside of the tire.

Heard people talking about these.

I have a set of them around here somewhere. The rim is awesome quality as well for being so cheap. The rim is 3.2" & the tire overall is a bit larger & heavier than Backflips. They are thicker than most Proline tires & the tread is great. I think I have them on my Yeti XL ATM, but it has diff problems now & is sitting in the garage.

I was on horizon's sale page and they have a bunch of those Dynamite Speedtreads on sale, very reasonably priced but I know nothing about them nor do I know anybody that runs them. A lot of dudes in Europe run Louise Rc tires and claim they're good.

I purchased these yesterday not knowing if these were sold as a pair of individually, does anyone know? I paid the $9.95 shipping since the total order was under $25

I picked up some tires and rims made by rd logics off eBay. 20 shipped...haha Harder compound but their fine to bash.

These tires handle way better than I was anticipating on tarmac! Very surprised with the power I am putting down they don’t balloon hardly at all.

Just be careful of the rims, when they crack replace them with some DE Racing 1/8 truggy rims. You can get a set of 4 for like $20 and they come in a few different colors.

Heeellppp... so me and my kids have been parking lot racing our trucks senton 6s, fury blx, and granite blx and I can't find an on road tire to last more than 2 packs to save my life. If anyone has any flipping advice I'm all ears.. well eyes.. I've tried those cheap ebay's they don't last.. not sure what to do. I've read poor reviews on the 2.2/3.0 proline on road tires so I'm looking mostly at 1/8 buggy tires due to the larger od size and lack of side wall rolling. But tread life I can't find anything that will last. I'm not to knowledgeable when it comes to different types of compounds of rubber but I can't find any that talk about different compounds other than grp's and the outer diameter of those are only like 96mm looking for 100-115mm od. Anything under 100mm od seems to cause more body roll. Thanks in advance.
