Hobbystar 1480kv running 6s with yeah racing duel fan heatsink.
Motor hits 150f while 83f outside. running on the road full throttle up and down the street running on grass to for 20min or less.

It's not too hot but it is getting close, general rule of thumb is under 160*, if it gets hotter outside you might want to gear down a gear or two.

Ya your gonna want 2 gear down that's a pretty large gear for summer weather.

I thought high motor temps was indicative of geared to low causing the motor to run too high in the RPM range too much and high esc temp was geared too high causing the motor to pull too many amps.
