Arrma RC's
I have the arrma typhon with 2.2 badlands, hobbywing max8 combo 2200kv. and I'm running on 6s 65c. At high speed on 18t pinion the car just wheelies when getting at a higher speed and there is no way I can stop it even adjusted the droop to be a lot less. So I'm not getting my top speed from the car. I fitted a 16t and np can hold it flat it don't even try to lift the front up. I was gonna try a 17t but not sure what will happen there. Is there any way suspension wise I can do something to help. Im basically doing speed runs at the park on short grass and trying to stop these high speed wheelies.

The big thing I did with mine that was having the same issue, was change all the diff fluid. I was Ripping tires apart on the front. I put 100k diff fluid in the middle diff, 60k in the front, and 15k in the rear. I'm running a 17t pinion, and normally 6S battery. It now wont just stand right up and grind the wing, it takes off like a cat on fire:woot:. I was going to try different diff weights, but that made such a huge difference that I decided not to. Try that first, and let me know how it works for ya! It's a cheap solution that really works.

There are plenty of vids, and walk through on how to do it. I was a little intimidated having not done it before, but it's actually quite easy to do.

Maybe you can dial back your punch setting some on the esc so it's less aggressive and go even higher with the center diff. My buddy runs 500k in his talion center diff. Although, it wheelies more now vs just spinning the snot out of the front tires so much. But, if your front wheels are spinning uncontrollably, the centrifugal force of the front tires spinning raises the front tires and makes it even worse. The oil at least transfers more of that power to the rear so it may be more manageable.

I dialed back my punch setting and made no difference. I try going to 200k in centre see if any difference. I understand that thicker centre oil will make the front tyres balloon less but also make it wheelie more to which I don't want lol.

Have you tried a wheelie bar? I'm not talking like the Outcast or TBR wheelie bar, I mean the style of wheelie bar like the speed run guys use.

Not yet haven't tried wheelie bar or front wing was trying to do adjustment in suspension before I tried those out.

Sorry, no additional advice regarding the wheelies but did you mount the Badlands to the original wheels or did you get them premounted? Having difficulty finding premounted tires that can accept 17mm hex.

Problem fixed don't know how. All i changed was the centre diff oil from 100k to 200k ran 19/50 gearing at the parks flat out no wheelies at all.
