Arrma RC's
  1. Talion
If anyone is interested, Horizon Hobby has the Talion in stock and available 0% APR with Affirm until 8/16/2018. That's as low as only $42 a month for payments.

Horizon is also offering other Arrma RC's with 0% financing. All are in stock, so definitely good news.

I find this such a horrible ideal. Taking a loan out to buy a toy car.
Woodie, I totally understand what you are saying about taking a loan out to buy a toy car. Personally, I would never buy anything I cannot comfortably afford to buy with cash (excluding a house or new car), but for someone that is always dreaming of an Arrma RC and cannot afford the full amount at once, this is maybe a way for them to get into the hobby. Also at 0% financing, there is no interest, so you are not paying anymore...

but for someone that is always dreaming of an Arrma RC and cannot afford the full amount at once, this is maybe a way for them to get into the hobby.

Then that person isn't ready to get into the hobby. There is, in my opinion, zero reason to take out a 3, 6, or 12 month loan for a toy car. Heck the RC hobby is moving fast, better and newer models are being released pretty quickly. While that person is still paying for a the toy car they bought 10 months ago several new ones have likely already been released.

Also at 0% financing, there is no interest
0% based on great credit - not for everyone. Otherwise it ranges all the way up to 30% (which is insane)! So that $499.99 Talion could actually cost you up to $649.

Thanks but no. Either buy used or keep saving your money. Don't take loans out for toy cars.

I tend to agree with Woodie except I don't consider these vehicles toys.

The other thing to consider is the amount of money needed for repairs and maintenance. It adds up quickly. In this hobby there is more to consider than the acquisition cost of the vehicle.

Towerhobbies also offering easy pay which spreads it across 3 payments. No credit check or formal credit taken out...

Welp, since we're spinning dead threads..the Talion exb is actually DOWN to $700 from $750 a few months ago!!🤣🤣 Guess peeps aren't so hungry for the TRX recipe HH was trying to serve up after all?!🤣🤣

Not this guy…. And not to beat the proverbial dead horse, but I hate the fact that every brand HH swallowed up now has the same Spektrum stuff in it across the board. If anything this must have been a huge boon for HobbyWing and Castle. And heck, for that matter even Surpass and the other import brands. I just spent $45.00 on AliExpress for a Rocket 3660 1280kv motor for a 1/10 project. And everyone assures me it’s just a white-label HobbyWing motor…

Amen. Not a fan of either TRX or HH business model. Someone here reffered to it as a "walled garden" in another thread.. I couldn't agree more. Traxxasverse or Spektrumverse..🤢🤮
