I know its not a Kraton but this section is posted more in.

V2 TALION 1 year old 30 batts through With 3.8 Badlands Savox 1256TG servo GKA Servo Mount only 3 months old and 10 batts through.
Tekno Orange springs. Trucks has been run on 4S only.

So I did a maintenance on mine and my sons trucks. Changed diff fluids changed out shock fluid new fast eddy bearings including the bushings to bearings on steering rack just full strip down refresh.

First run with the trucks "They both are doing it" was on short dead grass and found the steering was really off. Slow to turn and wide turns. I tightened the servo saver that did nothing i checked and loosened every screw double checked the pillow balls. The whole steering assembly moves freely when not hooked up to the servo and no binding when the suspension is moved up and down. On concrete the wheels turn fine but steering is slow and steering is not sharpe as it was before i did all the maintenance. I didnt change anything just a refresh. I have added a Video of my truck to explain more and my wifes brand new Kraton Completely stock does better than mine which has me confused since her tires are bigger and my servo has 69oz of more torque.

My Talion Video

Wifes Stock Kraton

I would have guessed the servo saver is loose but you mentioned you tightened down. Try putting the adjustment nut about halfway up the threads. Try swapping your wife's Kraton servo to see if it makes a difference.

It sounds like something is binding. Are the covers to the pillow balls too tight?

Steering would be affected if your diffs are not functioning properly and it sounds like that is the last thing you messed with. I would start there. What weight fluid did you use??

The pillow balls i checked they move freely no problem. I even loosened them up alot to check.

That's really odd. I was going to suggest checking your dual rate setting on the transmitter but that would limit steering in both directions and in your video I can see it turn further one way than the other. So I doubt that's it. Your servo is making that sound that indicates it is straining which is why I am thinking something is binding. I have the same servo in my Kraton and it is plenty powerful enough to steer those wheels. Minecan move the huge Proline Trenchers so your tires shouldn't be an issue.

If you disconnect the arm that attaches to the end of the servo arm and move it by hand do you feel anything binding? Does the servo move freely with that disconnected? I would go through the whole steering assembly piece by piece. I wish I could be more helpful. Good luck and let us know how you make out,

I could see that affecting his steering under power but his tires aren't steering properly while at a standstill.

Can you post a picture of each side of the bell crank please? Can't see any of the moving parts to have an idea of what's going on.

I already removed the horn from the servo and its free as can be when the trucks tires are in the air. If i set it down on the table it turns but stiff. If my wife raise it off the table and actuate the arms the steering is free as well. Im so lost. Whats werid is it was all fine on both mine and my sons truck don't see how both trucks are doing this after a refresh and clean up. After the cleaning the steering was way more free feeling. The only thing new is the bearings on the steering rack.

I have a brand new Savox 1256tg i was going to install on the wifes Kraton i will install and see if that works. Hard to belive thats it since both trucks do the same and both worked flawless before the refresh.

When u get home i will take a video of it so you can see the movement.

Ok sounds good. Seems to me that something may be binding up if it will fully articulate when the front is slightly picked up. Being able to see the bell crank and rack and stuff will help everyone better in helping you find the issue.

Can you take a clear photo of each back side of the arms so we can see the linkage? Perhaps you just put something together wrong and your not seeing it.

UPDATE FIXED

Ok well I got home from work and found out I should not work on these trucks till 1 AM anymore lol. Found the issue don't know how these 2 screws made that become a issue but they did. These 2 screws I forgot to put back in on both trucks. I stuck them in a different spot and forgot about them. I never checked the bottom chassis screws just up top. Thanks for all that took the time to post. Just a stupid mistake.

I have the same problem, but with my Kraton 8S - the steering is very slow and makes some 'pinching' sound. Tried everything; disassemble the car/servo, recalibrate transmitter and receiver, but still no solution. I've tried to find the solutions as above for, but I can't find it. Maybe someone has a good idea?

I do. Post the question in the 8S section and not a 2 year old thread ?

Hi Bicketybam, haha sorry, i'm a newbie ;-) but i have good news - check your HUB NUTS (ARA330582), I found out i missed one - just placed an order for a new set. I think this may resolve the issue.
