Went to my local bash spot today and ran about 10 minutes before the front right cvd driveshaft popped out. I went home, fixed it and tightened everything back up. I went it into my driveway and pulled a few wheelies and it came out again

I noticed it immediately and got off the throttle. So back inside and again I fixed it. It seems like the driveshaft on the right sits farther out in the cup than the left:

I really don't know what's going on. I have a lot of aftermarket parts in there (hubs, A-arms). Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok I need to look closer before typing.... So try looking at the pillow ball retaining screws. Something is allowing your wheel to go out far enough to come out of the cup. Take the wheel off and check everything behind it

I just too it all apart and inspected everything. Look at where the dogbones sit in there cups. The one that pops out is definitely farther out than the other.

If I compress the right shock all the way I could almost pop the driveshaft out. If I do that to the other shock I still have 2mm or so before the driveshaft would come off. Something is definitely wrong.

Ok sorry if this is a stupid question, but did you take out the front diif, and put it back in backwards by accident? I'm just spitballing here with anything that's comes to mind.

Remove the shims under the pillow balls. Or use thinner ones.

Are the pillow balls stock, just aftermarket carriers?

I was thinking that too, but they are on both sides. Would he not have the same problem on both sides if it was the shims?

Staring straight at the front end, the ring gear of the diff is on the left (right side if you were behind the vehicle.)

Pillow balls are stock. I'm using the same washers on the other side. But at this point I'll try anything.

Took the washers off that side. It's pretty much even with the other side now. I will test it out.

Kind of wondering if that alloy carrier is milled a bit different and the balls are sunk in further allowing the carrier to be out further. Might be worth throwing on a stock carrier to see if the issue follows the carrier or not.

I had a few issues with the Hot Racing products. I actually had to drill out a hole on one of the chasiss braces because they made it to small. So it wouldn't shock me. The A-arms are aftermarket as well.

In any event, the dog bone stayed in this time like. Hopefully it won't be an issue any more.

I have a dog bone question. My centre rear dog bone got very hot after making about 4-6 passes on my street on 4s. The centre front one was fine any ideas why?

Is it bent? Is your chassis bent? Can you slide the dogbone forward and back at least a few mm?

No no and yes. I think I might have to open up the centre diff I did bend the chassis really bad and wedge that dog bone tight In there. But didn’t bend it and the chassis is all straight now. But I noticed the connection between the spur gear and diff cup a bit of fluid
