Hey All,

We joined the stripped spur gear club yesterday , and replacement stock / spares for the Mega 4x4 are still in limbo here in Australia , so was hoping to source some overseas if possible.

Looking for recommendations of where to buy in the US , that will ship to Australia.

Yes, I have seen the Yeti mod , but planning on just staying on 2S , and to be honest I am kind of over constantly having to wrench and upgrade the platform into something that lasts more than a few packs , with minimal abuse. Feeling like a revolving door atm.

The Yeti spur mod on 2s is bullet proof. You'll never have to worry about your spur again.

@bicketybam ,

Unless I missed a follow up video/info , it involves custom spacers and shimming ( strip of aluminium from a can ), etc, which is not overly difficult as a I have a metal trade background, but I really can't be bothered. I feel I am just going around in circles with the truck at present. Just want a quick fix with the standard spurs, they are cheap enough if I can actually source them. I'll buy multiple and replace as needed.

This hasn't been an overly positive experience over the 4 months of ownership , as I noted in the first post, I am getting a little tired of just constantly needing to patch it. I am borderline cutting my losses and selling it and just buying a non ARRMA alternate. The Hunter BL SH basher is taking way more abuse on a warn platform , a new one will be pretty much set and forget IMO.

I haven't been able to find the stock spur gear :(. I thought I had but mistakenly it was wrong part number.

Look at this:

I'll give it a try. Should need some stronger material than PLA though. Will try first with it how long it works since its better than what I have now. Which is no spur gear :D

I'm really surprised how Arrma doesn't deliver even basic service parts like spur gear. Whats going on?? The situation has been going on far too long its ridiculous now.

I hate to sound like a broke record, but this is still fallout from the buyout. But that excuse is getting old, HH needs to get their "rest of the world" distributors going soon, or the brands will be damaged beyond repair...

Yeah, some fallout is understandable but this is going to hurt them like you said if they won't fix it now. I hope we will get parts from the new brushless models really soon because it will make the car more stronger. Meanwhile I managed to find spur gears from Denmark. Now trying to get them sent to me.

That is a kit breaker, AKA chop shop. That price is wack, but I bet they just threw that up as a placeholder - I'd bet in a day or three it will be $15-$25. I actually messaged that seller about a month ago asking when they would have the slipper assembly in stock and listed. The replied with "Someday, maybe, if we get stock" answer... LOL

I bought two diffs from them because I needed the input gear. They sent the diffs with the ujoint connected to the diff but without the driveshafts attached to the ujoint. No big deal because I didn't want them. But taking them off the diff without the driveshafts to hold as you loosen the screw? Next to impossible without stripping the screw head (which I did.) I have no idea why they sent them like that. The ujoint is useless without the driveshafts and you would need to pulls pins to attach them. But if you ordered the driveshafts they would already have the ujoint! Baffling.

In any event the diffs we're brand new, pulled right off an unused Granite or Senton. Not sure how they make money but I guess they do.

Can you order from Amazon?

The Australian Government in all their wisdom has blocked us from ordering from Amazon USA , long story, don't get me started :-(

I do have one of those US forwarding services which I haven't tried as yet , I'll ping the locals first.

Would it make sense for me to order the parts and ship them to you? I'd be willing to absorb some of the shipping costs. I'm fortunate enough to be in that position. It sucks that you can t enjoy your truck and I want to help.

Thank you so much , just waiting to hear back from the LHS's re ETA.

I don't expect you to absorb any costs at your end, if there is no sign of them locally I'll take you up on the offer and I'll sort the shipping costs , no problem.

@bicketybam ,

Latest ETA has now been pushed back to mid to late September for any ARRMA stock, I think we are in for a looooong wait with the distribution reshuffle.

I will take you up on that offer, I'll P.M you.
