I trashed the original body so I ordered a clear one with the stickers. Painted it metallic blue right from the can and did my best with the stickers. I'm not great with this sort of thing but I like the way it turned out. Plus I'm just going to beat it like the last one, lol.

Thanks everyone :) I really do like the color. Decals were really a pain in the ass to place. Some of the little ones tore coming off. Air bubbles galore. But I do like it better than the stock color. Here are a few more shots with it on. Truck is dirty. Just got back from the BMX track.

Man that thing looks nice. Little tip, which you may already know, but for the air bubbles a lot of times you can take the tip of an X-acto knife or razor blade and just pop the bubble and smooth it out. That's what I have always done and it's worked out really good.

Does my rear shock tower look bent?
Now that you say that, it does kind of look like the drivers side is bent forward a little bit. Not horribly bent, but it looks like it after you pointed it out. Or it could just be pictures playing optical illusions.

Looks just like mine, Bent. It's been that way for quite a while now, and nothing else has bent or broken so I'm leaving it just like it is.

That's what I thought. I noticed it with the old beat up body and thought it might be the body not lining up. But with the brand new body it's pretty clear it's bent a hair. I wanted to get the Voltage Hobbies towers but they are out of stock on the rears. They do have the blue ones which would look pretty slick, but they ain't cheap!

Looks great! Really like that color

Reinforce it with drywall tape and shoe goo.

I'll pass. Too much work. I'll just buy another when this ones shits the bed. I'm going to use those round nylon washers made for body posts and put them on top of the body to keep the pins from pulling through. That's about the extent of my efforts, lol.

@bicketybam Sweet!! Turned out great, pair that with some of these limited production voltage blue towers/braces and you'd have one nice looking rig!!

Ordered!

The color looks great! The Drywall mesh and shoe goe is easy and really only take about a half hour to do and all night to dry. For $10 in marerials it will extend the life of that body 10 fold. Then you'll have plenty for those Vlotage towers. Also, you can take that rear tower off and tap it flat with a rubber mallet on a work bench.

Does my rear shock tower look bent?
You can easily straighten it on a vise Ora mallet. Mine was bent pretty bad I put it in my vise and spun it around when I reinstalled it. I use a tower to tower brace so it bends easier

I ordered the blue Voltage Hobbies towers. Not that I couldn't fix this one it just more added protection and they look cool :)

Does anyone run these to help keep the body clips from pulling through?

I've used them, yeah they help. But I kind of felt they were a PITA, so I stopped using them. Tried glueing them to the body, but the came off in a few runs. LOL

For the back end, those holes will tear out on big jumps, because of chassis flex. Aluminum braces help a lot.
