Outcast Light Kit Recommendations

I'm planning To install light kit on my Outcast. Is there any thing I should consider before purchasing? I read That I need some kind of light control
Also, is there any recommendations on specific brand?
It would be great to post links

@Raji, you don't need a light controller. There are a couple threads about users installing LED lights on their RCs on the forum. Here are a two of them:

I bought a led kit from Amazon for like $7.99 and it had two white leds,two small blue and two red.I use black hot glue which is super strong to hold them in place since the holes on the front and rear bumpers were too big.Here is a pick.Its not the best way to do it but it was fast install and got to go play with it when I was done around 7 or 8 pm.they look awesome at night and during the day easy to tell front and back when it's far away from you.The light look coo on my kraton.

This is the LED light kit I bought for my Kraton.

Once I received my black hot glue sticks I changed out the clear to black to blend in and because it's way stronger than the clear.

After long weekend I came up with idea. Iused office led lamp

So I removed the metal wire and put a nut instead. Then glue it with super glue. This led is super bright check the pictures...

Also, there is a bottom to turn it on and off also to choose the brightness.
I plugged it in channel 3. But can I turn it on and off from the Transmitter?

Also, I have another led lamp I want to use it as a rear light. But how I can make it red color?

Your leds looks nice on your truck.You can't just change the colors on the led lights,the diodes come in different colors.But you can buy some of the red tape people use on broken car tail lights,it's red and you can cut a strip and tape it to your light or try a red sharpi and if you don't like the way it looks just use some rubbing alcohol and wipe it off,or just buy a light that already has red led lights.Just a few suggestions.What ever you use I'm sure it will look nice.I live led lights,I use them on everything,helis,planes and quads.

Put theese alpeena red max leds on the splash guards cant wait to see how it looks at night. I just screwed a little hole in the roll bar plastic that comes with a spare when you buy a replacement bumper

Just got into the rc hobby with this Outcast. Alot to learn but I'm enjoying it. Cant wait to get used to it and quit breaking things on it. Anyway here are lights i put on so me and my friend could drive in his yard at night

I forget to mention that I installed LED lights on/off switch from the Transmitter on the 3rd channel. It is the stock Tactic ttx300 Transmitter.

Yes, there is two buttons that you can use it as a light on off switch. You need to get LED light switch controller.

You need to block race on the thered channel and that's it.

Hi,
I need to add Light switch controller, but what if third channel on the receiver (Talion) is already used? Is it good just to solder the wires?

Nice ! how are you connecting those to the receiver ? or do you have a different power source for them ? A while ago I installed lights to a truggy with its own power source ( square battery ) with a holder but I was not too happy with the implementation.

you can also buy a balance port to futaba or jst connector. That way, if you run (2) 3s batteries, you can power the light off of one of the batteries.

I use this method and then run a light controller to my receiver. The 11.1v is much better then the 6.0v from the rx
