Well got my GhoolRc S3650 motor and 60 amp esc combo today. Pleasently surprised with the quality of such a cheep combo. The truck has a lot more power now even on the stock 7 cell NiHm batteries. I didn't make it through a pack before I broke my shock again. I knew I should have bought 2 kits last time I was at the HS.
2s I hope. I think 4300kv is a bit high high for 3s.

Over all I'm really pleases with how she handles.
I see he mentioned he's still running stock NiHm batteries

Here’s soMe upgrades I would recommend and pics of them on my blx granite 4x4
1. Racer edge shocks
2. Tbone bumpers ( the stock bumpers and skid plates are junk went through 2 front and and rear )
3 wheel hubs adapters/ extenders 12to17mm
4 2.8 17mm trencher tires
5 stiffer rear springs

Yes I'm still running stock NiHm batteries, although the esc manual says it can handle up to 3s Lipo or 9 cell NiHm. The esc also has a 5.8V/3A BEC.

Running my third battery last night and for some reason the truck barely moved. I disconnected the diff to diff drive shaft to spin the wheels. They spin freely, so next is to pull the motor module and see if there is a problem in the module.

How ate the trenchers on asphalt? 90% of my driving driving is in a parking lot with the remains 10% mixed between short grass and dirt.

Being a softer tire they grip a lot So I’d say asphalt would chew tires up

Truck looks NASTY man! Can you post the part #s / sku's of the shocks and tires plz?

There’s the tires and shocks but when you fit the these shocks on a granite you gonna need to get longer shock rods for the rear

Looks up bills rc hobby shop to see how to build the rear shocks !! I did that and worked good plus I m using hsp springs on the racer edge set up and seems to be working better I like them

Go for it I guess just saying what I run and they are nice with hsp springs

Welcome ! Or you can fork out over 100$ and get eb48.4 shocks and thank rich duperbash for that one lol

Ha! I am not at THAT level. I have other hobbies too and $100 is a 1/3rd of the TRUCK price. I bet they are sweet tho'.

I ended up orerdering stock BLX turnbuckles that I am going to install HR Pillow Balls into. Also on order are the fallowing:
BLX Diff, HD Input Gear, BLX Motor Mount, and a BLX Servo.

I am having an issue that I cant wrap my head around. When I am turning under throttle, the inside tire starts to lift. If I am driving too fast it causes the truck to roll over (hard enough it broke the teeth on my stock servo twice). My steering rates are about as low as I can go and still allow the truck to turn. I know that the simple solution is don't turn so fast. but some times situations arise that I need to turn real quick.
