General RC Information
It's been a while since I originally built this one. LOTS of versions of this rig so bear with me. Originally got the Fireteam from a friend and decided to lighten it up with a different body. Fit and painted the Limitless body myself. I'll try to list the rundown on differences from stock as best I can remember it at the moment.
Lot of stock parts still on the truck but there are a few things I upgraded.
Servo - AGFRC A81BHMW 45kg
ESC - Hobbywing Max6 G2 (previously Castle MMX8S)
Motor - Hobbywing 4990-1650kv sensored (previously Castle 1717-1650kv sensored)
RX/TX - SR6200A AVC paired with DX5 Rugged
Limitless V2 center diff mount
EXB servo mount
TREAL aluminum bulkheads (stock diff internals & housings, ring & pinion, all re-shimmed)
TREAL hinge pin retainers
Ramjam diff input and output cups everywhere
EXB chassis braces
CRCU rear chassis brace on bottom side
CF tube sleeved T2T brace (CF tube from Amazon)
EXB Super Basher front bumper with 3DRC support
Hot Racing Kraton hubs F/R
To get the Limitless body on it, I ended up using the set of body posts for the Outcast and cutting a few inches off the rear of the Limitless body so it dropped in on the front side of the shock tower. I've seen some people use the stock Fireteam posts and have the body sit on top of the tower which definitely works. I just wanted a wing! I used Kraton wing mounts and wing. I also put Mojave side skirts on it to keep some of the junk out (could use Big Rock 6S ones now, that wasn't released at the time).
For tires, I really do like the Backflip LPs but the stock Fireteam belted tires really have held up exceptionally well. I have it geared 23p/50s and that feels plenty fast for the 6S I typically run on. Sometimes it gets full 8S on pavement with the Sweeps, but I don't like rebuilding diffs enough to tempt fate doing that off road.
Alright, enough jawing, you want to see pictures. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting but that just helps drive conversation! If there's something you want to know, let me know!
