General RC Information
It was inevitable. Caught the RC (and Arrma) bug just a couple months ago, and here we are. My first 6s, my first Kraton.
I scored a deal on an Amazon Warehouse "Used: Like New" v6 BLX and decided to use the savings to see how close I could get this thing to an EXB. Here's what I've done so far:
Internal
Rebuilt all three diffs w/ new shims
100k diff fluid front/rear
1m diff fluid center
EXB aluminum center diff bearing mount
ADU Racing aluminum diff cases
No-name Aliexpress aluminum front and rear bulkheads
EXB aluminum front/rear shock towers
EXB aluminum front/rear chassis braces
M2C outdrive cups
Hot Racing aluminum servo mount
Hot Racing aluminum steering link/servo arm
Rocket 21000 RPM motor fan
Aimrock aluminum sway bar linkages
External
Mesh Tape + Flexseal body liner
Reinforced rubber car door edge guards
Louie's Fix It Kraton LED light kit
Elechawk On/Off switch relay (to control light kit from RX)
GarageLife rear wing mount
GarageLife wheelie bar
dBoots Backflip MT Wheels
QUE-T carbon fiber rear mudguards
M2C skid plate brace
Campsite Carbon Velocity 40Forty dual fan kit
35mm Rocket ESC fan
Up next:
Nothing immediate. Will probably look into a servo upgrade at some point, maybe the Perfect Pass Monster. Maybe the Max6 G2 combo if I decide to get crazy, but I'm certainly happy with the stock power for now.
Obviously not all of these are EXB-related. I'm not sure if I'm missing any of the standard EXB upgrades at this point, and if I am, I don't think they're all that important. Not sure what the plans are from here—will probably just keep sending it hard and fixing whatever I break. I'm about 8 packs deep so far, and I haven't had any real damage (just lots of scrapes/gashes/couple small body cracks). Haven't even broken an A-arm yet.
