Sounds like fun.i use my local highschools running track ,and do a few laps .I allways thought that the track would be to harsh on my tires but I tryed it one day and I almost prefer the track than the street.ill keep using it as long as the school's track team isn't practicing on it or your everyday people just using it for walks or jogs..Even though it was drizzling, I went and drove around my working rigs on pavement at the local school not far from me![]()
Yeah were I go there's absolutely no one. I stay away from people. There's always a Karen or Ken that might say something or get in the way on purpose.Sounds like fun.i use my local highschools running track ,and do a few laps .I allways thought that the track would be to harsh on my tires but I tryed it one day and I almost prefer the track than the street.ill keep using it as long as the school's track team isn't practicing on it or your everyday people just using it for walls or jobs..![]()
I work long hours at my job too during the holiday season, but I make time for my family and hobby during the weekends, even though I'm pretty tired. This week I worked 50 hours Mon-Fri (10 hours per day). Usually I work 12 hours per day and sometimes 6 days. Plus I work the swing shift. If I work 10 hours, I get off at 1am, so I drive home, take shower etc. It's 2am by then. They I get up at 6:10am to take my kids to school and cook them breakfast (Mon-Fri). Luckily they are off this week (my kids and wife). If I work 12 hours, is even worse. Once I come back from taking my kids to school, I force myself to go to sleep at least 3 hours since I'm usually not even sleepy. Crazy right? And I'm already 47. Gen X!Holidays are so much work for us around here. Very stressful!
Just wanna wave the white flag sometimes and stay home.
Are you in law enforcement or in the medical field? That is a lot of hours, I think it's time to take a break.Yeah were I go there's absolutely no one. I stay away from people. There's always a Karen or Ken that might say something or get in the way on purpose.

Happy Thanksgiving to you to brothaEnjoying a week off with my family, "campouts" in the family room with the kids, yardwork, fixing our small suv, Rc'ing when I need a break. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I work for the feds. The post office to be more exact. I'm the one that loses your mail. J/K. I've worked crazy hours since 1996 when I entered the workforce. But I've had very bad spending issues, so my goal is to catch up with my finances. They are not that good, but not that bad either. My networth is around $146k, so at least it's on the positive side. I don't do those crazy hours all year. It's around half the time. I can clear around $96k after taxes with all that OT So yeah, plus what my wife is making (around $18k per year). I'm trying to get like $30k in liquid cash, plus keep investing, paying off my modest home and save forward the kids to help them out a bit with their stuff. Sorry for the long response. I'm actually even MORE motivated now that I have a clear head on top of my shoulders. My consumer debt got so out of control, that it ended up in $75k of unsecured debt and chapter 7 bankruptcy. It's embarrassing to admit, but I just tell my story so that we can learn from it and move on. Some of that debt was rc related at around $25k. So yeah, I had lost my mind. Working all those hours to blow like half of it, more on too much stuff that I didn't really need. I'm 47, so I have plenty of time to recover and do the right thing for me, for my family, and to set an good example for others. Hopefully you didn't fall asleep reading thisEnjoying a week off with my family, "campouts" in the family room with the kids, yardwork, fixing our small suv, Rc'ing when I need a break.
