1.5 mod sledge spur

Hello,
I found a 34 tooth spur for the sledge but it’s 1.5 mod. I was wondering where I can find an applicable pinion for that spur? Also do I need to use a certain motor?? Thanks

I haven't looked at changing my Sledge from mod 1 to 1.5. I've only gone down to a 12T pinion.

But it looks like the stock motor is a 5mm shaft, from the description in the Traxxas parts list. Perhaps you can find other 1.5 pinions for a 5mm shaft? You'd need to kind of do the math to ensure the motor-to-gear spacing will be about the same, though. I'd compare the ratio of the stock spur-to-pinion teeth, looks like 52/13 = 4

So with a 34 tooth spur, I'd think you want a pinion that's around 8.5 teeth. Well, not actually 8.5 But if you bought, say, a 13T 1.5 pinion, I expect you wouldn't be able to fit it next to the 1.5 spur gear, it would be too-big, and the motor mount slots wouldn't let you slide the motor far enough away.
