Kraton 2 Grub Screws or 1 on Speed Gear? Kraton

Hey Guys,

I noticed the original stock pinion has only one hole for a grub screw.

The speed gear has 2.

Should I use the supplied grub screw plus the original in the speed gear? (i.e., 2 grub screws - one for each hole)?

Or just 1?

I have always used both in that scenario. In my head I assumed it is better balanced with the second screw (but probably not reality)

If the motor shaft has 2 flat sides you can use 2...but most motors only have 1 flat side on shaft...therefore only 1 grub screw is needed with blue locktite

Just put the speed gear on my new Typhon. It has two flat sides on the shaft, and two grub screws.

Thanks guys! Yep...its got two flat sides and I am using 2 screws with blue locktight.

This is interesting that it has two flat sides. I don't remember what my v3 Typhon 6s has but is this new?

This is a V3 Kraton with BLX motor that has 2 flat sides.

They are now in the V4 version.
