35mm fans for inside max 6 housing

I’m sure it’s been posted but info has changed and sourcing and what not.

So, what’s everyone’s favorite? I have a couple protek’s but at $19 a pop it’s hard to swallow. Any others that perform well and aren’t $20 a piece ??

Rocket 35mm. I needed to Dremel off about 1mm of the aluminium fan housing to make it fit. I’ve read others grind away a bit of the Max6 fan cover housing, bit I opted for the fan housing grinding.
Another option would be just to leave off the Max6 housing and use a 35mm fan cover instead.

They just bolt straight on.

but personally I think their kit with the fan is worth it. That fan seems to put out damn near as much air as my 3s fan and it connects to the esc/rx

+1 for ecopower.

It even survived being engulfed in flames when it was in my Spektrum 150a that went up in flames. Still kicking it in my Max6 right now.

Stock HW ones for me, I just mod the Max6 case no breakages here in ages
Adjust bolt depth to sit 0.5mm above top of fan.. haven’t broke a fan since this mod.
