Anyone running this motor? I just got mine in the mail. Going to run it with the hexfly6. Looks like it will clear the chassis with the m2c mount. The motor mount holes will need work though. They are off around .050". Should have it going in a day or so.

Let us know how you like it. I'm planning on swapping out my motor and esc when it's up for the winter, not sure what I want to go with yet.

Will do, it’s 1580kv btw. I have a 20,21,22t to try with it. Looks like the motor wires will be the perfect length for the Hexfly6.

Ran this motor and esc today, very much torque, I can see broken drive train componets in the near future. with a 20T it seems around the same top speed as a 14T. Can not gear it up anymore as it is running borderline too hot at least in grass bashing. May try a fan on the motor, but I just hate them. Runs cooler than the blx but not much...

Only ran it yesterday and no time today...acceleration is very strong, no need for a long run at a ramp. Is it worth it? I need a few more packs through it to see how hot it is getting. The 4092 hobbystar may be better but some guys have heat problems with them too. Btw this is only a 65 dollar motor...

My 1650kv hobbywing max6 on a 21t and I get topped out at 87 so far and doesn't seem to be running to hot at all going to put my 23t in there and see what she can do

@Rowanjr420 that motor you have fitted, does it fit straight in or do you have to put spacers under the motor mount..??

What sort of temps you hitting..??
Haven't checked the actual reading of the temp just did the feel test with my hand. The motor fit in perfect with no adjustments at all screwed right in the mount only thing I did have to do with it being in the slider mount was take off the side skirt as it hits the screw mount on it

Well worth it I would say I was topping out with the non high gear pinion at like 52 and with this one I got it to 87. I can get it going about 70 and still pop a wheelie and ride it with the stock tires. The push button is a nice feature and it runs really smooth not near as loud as the stock motor either. I'm thinking about getting the max6 1100kv combo for the outcast. The max6 fits perfectly in between the servo mount and pinion as I think the max5 might be a little to big and with the 1100kv I can run 8s on the max6. Lol so after all that well worth the 240 i spent on it

Nice setup for sure... If you don’t check the temps than you won’t worry all the time. Worst thing I ever started doing in this hobby. :ROFLMAO:

Great point lol and thanks I want to build another one but have to wait they get expensive haha

Well the 4585 runs too hot. I cannot see any reason within the truck as to why so my conclusion is it is not a good option unless you want to gear down and go slow. Who wants to do that...looks like I’ll try the 4092 or bite the bullet and get the big hobbywing.

Have you or anyone else tried the MAX8 ESC/ MOTOR Combo in a Kraton 6s? If so, what do you think about it? Is the calibrator easy to figure-out? I'm new to this generation of RC cars.
