Anyone using a chassis dirt protection cover? Which one did you get, and is it worth the trouble?
Thanks

Different machine, but I just bought a $16 Raidenracing cover on Amazon. Installation was straightforward. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but it seems promising. It covers pretty much everything on the chassis. Two zippers let the whole thing be sort of peeled back. Or you can just pull the cover off the Velcro, which you attach to the side of the chassis.

I'm hoping it will be effective. It seems like it should be great for grass, rocks, and other chunky stuff. Dust will still get through the mesh, I'm sure.

Thanks I did see those, I might try it as well price is right.

Yeah, I'd seen a listing for maybe $30 or a little over. I was on the fence. But then seeing one for $16 seemed fairly easy to justify. Especially seeing how much cleanup I had to do after a session in wet grass with a bit of slushy snow, the first time I used the truck :)

That's what happen with mine as well, driving it out in the country in prairie grass. I was surprised how many small rocks found there way inside the chassis, glad one didn't get pinned in with the driveshaft and chew it up as I seen in some other videos, that's the main reason I wanted to try this out. Found this on Ebay thought I'd give it a try since its for the O4sV2. I will let everyone know how it works out. Might be a while we just got hit with a pretty heavy snow storm up here in Montana, got about 8" of snow on the ground and 8 below zero temps, supposed to warm up into the 40's next weekend so maybe I'll get out for a spin then.:)

I ordered that one last week and returned it. It’s massive on the Vorteks and no way to tighten it up. I would have had to put the Velcro on the bottom chassis to get it tight.

The Dusty Motors M+ fits perfectly

I know that’s nice. That’s what I originally wanted. I just couldn’t push myself to spend $50+ on a cover. Guess I’m going to have to though.
Yeah, it took 3 centershafts and a mud bath to push me to get it, a plus though is it also comes with shock socks and those are a nice addition.

Well I’m sold then of it comes with the shock covers also. That’s a nice deal. I see them on Amain hobbies. Need to see if the covers are included. If so I’m ordering it.

That's too bad. Is there one that's made for the Vorteks, or did you have to get kind of a substitute version? Mine is made for my Sledge, and it fit nicely, which was great.

The one by Dusty Covers fits. Someone mentioned in the comments here I think it’s the medium + that fits perfectly. Just expensive.
I ordered mine through Amain and it came with it, just doesn't say it on their site.
Awesome I appreciate it. Ordered it tonight.

Would this fit on the slightly longer chassis of the Kraton 4S? I've been on the market for one as well (center driveshafts keep going.. stupid tiny pebbles get stuck between the chassis and the shaft...). Shock socks are sexy as hell, if it comes with those I'll pull the trigger in a New York minute!

If you go to the Dusty motors website they have a vid on how and where to measure in the tips section.

The Dusty motor size L fits Kraton 4S v2.
