Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
  2. 4x4-Mega
  3. BigRock 4x4
so i have almost the entire line of 4x4 3s blx series rcs. basicly i do but my senton is in the middle of being built. bought them all new but senton ive been building from scratch getting the parts from the jc rcs or whatever on ebay they take brand new rtrs and part them out. i bought my bigrock last week ran it once and now i got a shock leaking like a fosset, my granite shocks leak also and i havnt ran my typhon 3s yet only a few seconds couple rips up and down the road so any ways im really needing some new shocks for all these rigs. now ive read that folks are using typhon 6s shocks for these 1/10 blx 3s series platforms. can anyone please comment on that? are they using the front typhon shocks for the front on the 3s unit and rear typhon shocks for the rear of the 3s blx? can anyone recommend decent direct fit shocks and perhaps which configuration there using them at? thanks alot

I think the Typhon 6s shocks are from a previous version. Not the latest version of the Typhon and Jenny's has been sold out of the previous Typhon 6s shocks. There are some HSP shocks from Ebay, China seller that folks have been happy with here but I don't know exactly which ones to link. I know they're available but takes a long time to arrive.
I'm sure somebody will link here soon.

Typhoon 6s shocks or run These shocks but with making them long enough for the rear you gonna need longer shock rods I run them and they are good with 60 weight oil in front and 50 in rear

For the best direct replacement look to YouTube bills rc hobby shop he has a set he made and tells you how to make them they look fantastic. Typhon shocks work all versions it’s the v2 everyone wants because it has aluminum top cap where the v3 has plastic.

The eBay ones are hsb 81002/81003 pretty cheap and can fit with a little work it’s been talked about here a ton just scroll through the posts. I went the eBay route and they are doing fine although they could be better but at 17$ for the set it’s a rather safe experiment. I have a post a few pages back on my experience with them and figment solution that worked great.

You can also fix the stock shocks with a thicker bottom o ring. I did that before my China shocks came and they haven’t leaked since. Original o ring is on the left right is the new o ring I used.

For the o-ring replacement, do you just buy a universal metric assorted o-ring kit? Maybe like this one?

so the 6s typhon shocks work well? even if they have plastic caps the kraton caps are cheap enough? also do you know if there using front and rear 6s typhon shocks im assuming? and putting them on the front and rear of the blx 3s models? i think i seen that video before. hes just switching out the shock shaft with the stock blx 3s shaft?

Front and rear tyohon shocks work front and rear for these cars for sure. Any metal cap that will fit should work just fine.

And yes but he is not using tyohon shocks I can’t recall what bill used his post about them is somewhere on this forum.

Bills is using racer edge shocks I have them in my truck and they are good I got the hsp springs on the racer edge shocks

I’ve also done what bill did in his video he’s actually my
Local hobby shop lol
