My son’s 4x4 Granite MEGA has been consistently losing throttle power (zero) every thirty seconds.

After double checking the batteries (2S 2500 mah LiPo), the jumpers, and double-checking the motor that we replaced a few week’s prior, I decided—after browsing the forums—that the ESC was likely to blame.

The new ESC arrived today and installed easily enough. Now, however, while we have steering-servo actuation, we have nothing for throttle except a red LED indicator.

First, I thought maybe I should try to reset the ESC to factory settings. But while both the use manual and forums sayto hold the ESC’s “reset button” for four seconds, I can not, for the life of my, determine what the “reset button” is. I don’t see it on the manual’s diagram, nor can I see anything upon visual inspection of the ESC. (For the record, this is making me feel like a total noob).

We just checked the ESC’s throttle output voltage, and I’m getting a reading of 8.44v. Mystified, I checked the motor’s resistance, and I’m getting 17.1 ohms (which I have reason to believe it in the ballpark).

Open to guidance on how to get this great truck operational for my son again. See pictures attached for visuals.

Thanks in advance,

Christopher
