5.4 earthquake…in Texas?? What?!

There was a 5.4 earthquake that was felt throughout San Antonio yesterday late afternoon. The epicenter was a few hundred miles away in Pecos, Texas. Pretty crazy, I lived for 20 years and San Jose, California and the biggest quake was a 5.2. Weird man just weird.

Yup. My son was a frack field worker for years and the process is highly destructive, so wouldn’t be surprised at all…
But your map doesn’t show any fracking where the quake happened? Pecos is more north East. Hell, there are fault lines everywhere you know. Some are just more active then others.

The movement near the source is nothing like at the tip end further out..

That is a very good analogy. Movement at one end can break the sound barrier at the other 🙃
 
Mother Nature just likes to shake things up occasionally. :)
Hell I didn’t feel it. If I had I would have assumed it was my f-up nerves 🤣
