Hes been sitting by the door all day, with his towel.
The others always have an excuse. Its too cold, my beerings need oil, my tires are too small... Always an Excuse!
Bad Wolf is like a perpetual baby pitbull.
So we went to the park.

don't panic and always carry a towel!

Awesome, I haven’t had anything out in the snow yet this year. Also, cool Martini Racing bag!

Finally NO MORE SNOW!

Had Bad Wolf out a few times now.
Bought a set of dBoots KATAR T Belted But liking the Backflips MTs still. Threw some TERRAFORM All-Terrain Belted MTs on it but they aren't big enough.
Just had them on Good Dalek as well as dBoots Fortress and they rock.

With the Big Bad Wolf I was hitting upper 70 mph... but ran out of room on my short Field and slid face-first into the side of a brick school house, Hard. Servos making noise. We hobbled away. Time for a new Servo, I beat the snot out of it all last year and its been not centering well (Annimos 35KG).

Just had the 3S Typhon out for the first time since August.
Hit low 70s on the short field and just hit 79 on the pavement. It got Hot. Im running a 22t in there I believe.
Throwing a Flysky receiver in it, im tired of the DumboRC (and its gyro) in comparison to the FS BS6.
I'm gonna run (2) Flysky FS GT5/BS6's on all the rigs now. So much easier.

Its starting... Warm today - Windows Open finally.

And So it has Begun!
New Tires on Dalek, not great on pavement but still hit near 85.
Damn near rectum.

So been running dBoots Fortress (139m X 42mm, 230g each) on Good Dalek since late last year. They are great on this rig. Decent on both pavement and grass fields. Threw a set of methodRC Terraform Belted tires on. Horrible on the grass but nice on pavement (139mm x 58mm about 215g each). Ive hit highest speed with those, high 90's.
Just got these dBoots Katar T belted tires (stock Talion 6S 146m X 57mm, 202g each) which are great on grass, was hitting around 70 with them today but on pavement they rip free at high speed! Not using them on pavement. Still i managed near 85. Loosing traction all the way down the block! Scared a few bystanders.

I want something a bit stronger and faster than stock.
The Firma 150 would start to bog and slow down after it got hot.
Definitely holding it back.

I like the gearing and feel I have now, I can get up and over 80mph over a sports grass field. Id like to gain some more speed.
2650KV, 2200KV or 1800KV ??

Parts deliver over the next 2 weeks. Besides being insanely busy this will provide a few weeks of Zen-wrenching meditation. It may even save a few lives.

Upgrades and Replacement Parts After Bashing and a Fire
- Mojave Side guards, ESC mount, battery and receiver box...
- Typhon 6s V5 BLX Body Shell
- New Bad Wolf Vinyl Decal Stickers
- ARRMA Hinge Pins
- ARRMA Wheel Hex Aluminum 17mm set
- Hot Racing Aluminum Steering Blocks HD Bearings for Kraton 6S
- ZOSKAY 35kg high Torque Servo

- Castle 1515-2200Kv V2 sensored motor
- NHX Twin Cyclone HV Fans at 28k RPM each w/Covers and wiring.
- NHX Motor Heatsink, Black
- Castle Mamba Monster X 8S, 33.6V ESC, 8A Peak BEC
- Castle B-Link Bluetooth Adapter
- replacement ARRMA Spur Gear, 46T (a nice new one! Gonna need a new 50t too)
- additional ARRMA Pinion Gear 22T HD Mod1 Safe-D5

- Radiolink RC4GS V3 Transmitter and R6FG Gyro Receiver, 2.4GHz

- Hobbypark 5 Pairs EC5 Banana Plug Connectors
- (50) M3 Black Zinc Plated Nylon Lock Nuts (You can Never have enough Nuts!) and assorted Arrma parts made of Plastic.
Im currently using Arrma dBoots BackFlip MT 3.8's
Added a set of dBoots KATAR ARA8707 (stock TALION 6s EXB) Tires to the mix.
In the short mix are dBoots Copperhead2 MT 3.8's and the method RC Terraform MT's. The BackFlip MT's are my favorite.

IF I like the 2200KV 6S, I'll likely order a TP 2200 8S motor.
IF I don't like it I'll likely order a 1717 1650KV 8S motor.

While we'er at it...The Stretched Typhon 6S "Good Dalek" had a couple of accidents.
(new) Arrma TYPHON 4x4 3s BLX - Body Shell
(new) Good Dalek Vinyl Decal Sticker.
(new) Talion EXB Shock Tower (it was a Hard Brick Wall!)
Im currently using Arrma dBoots Fortress (stock Mojave 6S Arrma)
Added a set of dBoots EXABYTE 6S (Typhon TLR) Tires to the mix.
In the short mix are dBoots Hoons 53/107 2.9 White and the method RC Terraform MT's. The Fortress's are nice on all surfaces!

* GD Needs a New Motor. It will get the above Castle 1515-2200Kv V2 motor. And Big Wolf will get a 8S Motor and a new set of 8S Lipos.
** Odds are Good Dalek will become more of a street buggy and get a "Rear Limitless Shock Tower and Shocks" to run on the Front and I'll move the "Front Kraton EXB Shock Tower and Shocks" to the Rear. Lower the stance a little. Replace the Hubs from Typhon to Kraton and remove the Hex extensions im running now. That will slightly narrow wheelbase. It has a Kraton EXB Chassis. I want to make it more of a Street Racer/Buggy.

So for those that keep track, thats a Quick $900. Plus a 8S Motor and set of Batteries and incidentals (another $400) in do time.

I Love to Hate you Guys! And I have little self control. Damn You to Hell Horizon Hobby!

Needs Lots of this!

Remember, it's Always Something.
My Aunt Roseanne Roseannadanna always said so!

Found all sorts of other broken stuff.

AND Amazon vendors sent me;
Wrong Motor. I ordered a 1515 2200 V2, they sent an older V1 - sent that back!
Zoskay sent me a previously installed Servo in a dirt baggie for $30 - sent that back!

And lastly, Everything I buy from GPM is a disappointment. I find that their products are Crap.

Mostly Pics but lots of PDFs and Text Notes.
Craziness.

Id like to use the Arrma 10awg harness with the MMX8.

I ordered an 8S Ripple Killer Cap Pack.
I like that guy, Phil's YouTube channel! LOL

Any limitation to length of wire?

IMG_5071.JPG

I also have some EC5 Series Connectors I could use and Not use the Arrma Wire Harness.

8S Ripple Killer Cap Pack

Castle Says no more than 8" from the cap. But Ive also read that 12+ inches is okay.

Dress Rehearsals and Arrma is killing me slowly right now...

So the Mod1 Safe-D5 wont fit anything?? They don't fit this 1515 2200KVv2.

Mod1 Safe-D5 to the Left.... other than Arrma to the right.
Did I learned something I didn't know today? F'in Armma!

IMG_5097.JPG

IMG_5102.JPG

And Castle...
So they let you use these 2 screw threads?... you can really use the smaller ones? I don't believe that.

IMG_5103.JPG

IMG_5099.JPG

IMG_5101.JPG

I rotated this front plate so I could achieve this position Below, using the larger screws.
I assume that was proper?

IMG_5109.JPG

MMX8S Hardly Fits in the XLWB chassis.
That center brace is in the way but I like it and how the Typhon shell sits on top of it. It's very strong and compact.
I have to Dremel off 1/4 inch of the pin. That 40mm fan and clamp JUST FITS.

IMG_5110.JPG

The way the 1515 2200kv came these were the only other options to screw it to the BLX mount.
One was nearly resting on the chassis, like touching it. And the other impossible to get a fan on.

IMG_5092.JPG

IMG_5096.JPG

IMG_5082.JPG

And WTF is with the SHORT sensor cable? Seriously?
I have to Buy a longer cable Now?

IMG_5084.JPG

0928-frankenstein-moon.jpg

Well Almost... Few missing pieces and loose screws.

Still waiting for the Cap Pack but im in no rush to install it.
Fans, 40mm X 31mm tall, 8-12v, 20,000 RPM Max.
Silicone Sensor Cable 300mm (TQ WIRE PRODUCTS 2830)

IMG_5117.JPG

Made this 10 awg EC5 extension.
Making these cables just Sucks!
Ive made literally a hundred miles of speaker cables and IC's for my Audiophile Systems. Thats Fun, This is not fun.
I used Silver Solder (which I usually use for Audio gear),

IMG_5115.JPG

And Ive always wanted this Bike!
Or the Honda.

Did a new weigh in.
3rd version of this rig.

Bad Wolf V3, Stretched 6S Arrma EXB with upgrades.
Castle Mamba Monster X 8S, 33.6V ESC
Castle 1515 2200KV V2
Flysky FS GT5 RC Transmitter with FS BS6 Gyro Receiver, Castle B-Link Bluetooth, GPS.

3835g (8.45 lbs) without Tires and Battery.

1505g (3.32 lbs)
Arrma dBoots Back-Flip MT 6S, 172m X 97mm Tires

990g (2.18 lbs)
HOOVO 6S 22.2V LiPo Battery 8000mAh 100C

5340g (11.8 lbs) with Tires
6330g (13.9 lbs) with Tires and Large 6S Battery.

It's a BIG Buggy! But it's light, geared very high and ready to RUN!
It's like having a baby Pitbull-Boxer at the park. After eating ice cream and doughnuts.

Done for the night. :D:rolleyes:
Im in a calm before the Storm, next week or so. Then the Storm comes in and... show me the money  :cautious:

Arrma 6S Bad Wolf Comparisons.jpg

Well that went okay... I guess

Just took Bad Wolf to the park for a short run.

Ran nice. That 2200KV is powerful for sure. Running a 19 pinion with a 50 spur, Kraton Open DIfs.

But, (always a but) the pinion grub came loose (I lock-tight it last night too), gotta soak that pinion in cleaner. It looks okay - I heard it and we stopped.
The other BIG But is the Motor got VERY HOT. No Fan on it.

I was just pulling it lightly then did just a few hard runs across the field. Motor got Way too Hot. If the Fan Im getting soon doesn't keep it in check then well, we'll give this motor to Good Dalek (stretched Typhon) and get the 1650 for BW.

This MMX8S with the 2200KV Definitely has MORE power than the stock Firma 150/2050KV. No Doubt. It was easily pulling wheelies at speed. Same setup as the last drivetrain that went on fire. And it's easy to tell this has more pull.
14 lbs total weight.

I didn't tell Bad Wolf, He was all happy, grabbed his towel and favorite toy.
He's chilling with the Cat, telling her exaggerated stories.
