Big Rock A Tale of Two Arrma's

so most of you know my 2 rig's i love them both how ever the tires seem to be a let down ,

My Typhon ran 3-5 packs through a mix of pavement and dirt/grass and i had to rotate the tires
Now the Granite tires on my Big Rock 2 packs and they are all but gone on the rear , i just had to switch them

We don't have much "off road" to use and some pavement and i do like running on the road so Anyone have suggestions on a harder compound tire to use on both on and off road ?

You can run Hoons on the Typhon as it uses a 17mm Hex, but will be pretty much on road only. For the Granite, there's plenty of cheap offerings on Amazon for on road/offroad tires with a 12mm hex.

I Have heard good things about Hoons for the typhon, but just FYI the Big Rock has 14mm hexes, so choices will be limited for it unless you convert it to 12 or 17mm.

At any Rate , thinking Maybe i might make the typhon on road only but still want something for the big rock ?

So i might go for the Hoons for the typhon and look into the duratrax for the big rock , i have a set i have been looking at since i bought the truck

Tyre/wheel choice in a 14mm is limited. I wouldn't mind converting my BR to 12mm and try some cheap knobby Banggood tyres. At least when I blow out the hubs on them it's a cheap replacement.

Well all spelling aside, the Hoons work great on the Typhon. I use my Typhon primarily in parking lots and have no complaints.

So been trying to decide How i want to run my two Loved 3s Arrma's
I think i am going to Keep the Big Rock as my Basher with a little style and upgrades, as i have been ordering and stock piling parts and such for it.

The Typhon i gave to my son and i ordered an New One for myself , and seeing as it is all New and Shiny i have been a bit Precious with it and i think make it some kind of speed runner. Next question is off road speed or on road speed Leaning More to off road tho

Suggestions welcome but for now ill throw a few pics in here for now

So took the BR out for a spin and the steering just totally stoped working , took it in the house to look things over and yes it is indeed Dead
Whatever I have a spare one here but will be ordering a 25spline servo saver for when this one goes out !
In the meantime I decided to pull it all apart and clean it all up...............
Well Fu@k me my motor bearings are bad and also it would seem arrma is using old stock parts because when I took the speed controller off it has a sticker that says 2012 v4

So got some Upgrades for the big rock in and man I love the way this truck runs now ,
I went with a full vortex esc and tx/rx got them right before the went out of stock from Jenny’s RC and it really does make a huge difference in the way the truck handles off road
Also got a full replacement bearing set from Trbrc and I’ll get to putting them in once I have a need ,same goes for the Rpm Arms
And my outcast 4s wing and roll bar came in too
