Forged Carbon Fiber looks pretty good haven't seen forged before and the fit is dead on.Still can't believe this car doesn't come with a 2.00 splitter. (If not less for HH)

What exactly is Forged CF?
Never heard of that.
I thought Forging process was specific to Metal alloy Hardening.
I have only heard of Pressure hardening during the CF lay-up process.
Like with high end CF Bicycle frames and forks.

Basically it is shorter sections of carbon fiber in random orientation. So you can think of chopped strand matt fiberglass as a comparable but much wider pieces. Then it is compacted with the epoxy resin in a 2 piece mold. I suppose the term forge is acceptable given the squeeze done in the process but its a stretch on the term.

Basically it is Pressure Casted between scrap random lay ups. But acts more like a Carbon Composite mold?
Not truly a Forging term at all.

@LibertyMKiii if any one knows here, it is you, no doubt.(y)

Actually @rotauq has been building 3d printed 2 part molds and doing forged carbon fiber parts.
He made a diffuser for his Hobao VTE 2

Forge is probably a misnomer IMHO.
But I see when used with the term Composite, Forging means something totally different.
Nothing to do with Metal Forging. A completely different material and process.

Agree I was just going by what I have seen it called. Driveway...freeway....😉

Oh now we have to get into the Parkway vs Driveway debate
Parkway thank you couldn't think of the word to save my life. And yes why do we.....

Here is a link to my forged carbon projects:

I agree 'forged' is a misleading term for the proces, but the result is an aluminum strenght nearly-freeform shape.
My VTE2 diffuser was a little to complex, but the way i look at it, all stuff you wanted to 3d print but lacked strenght can be made decent via this proces
