Typhon Addvice on gearing high for 4s speed

Wanting to go for a 4s pb.never geared this high.so these are my tallest gears I have..
Seams like it would cogg,an be very hard on esc.ill slowly gear up an check temps an logs as I gear up.using mmmx8s an tp4050cm 2300kv.
Ran 25/46 for 68mph yesterday. .40 max ripple
Bout to run 25/40 an should be around 80mph.
Curious to to see how ripple will do as I gear up.
Any addvice?????????

It is typical for cogging to increase with taller gearing for speed running. With an unsensored setup. This doesn't hurt the motor at all. Neither ESC IMHO.
Your ripple is nice and low for sure. I don't think it will increase much if at all. The X8s runs low ripple with most setups. With only 4s that ESC is running even more efficiently.
Good luck with your PB there. I know you can break 100 for sure.

I ran 98mph 4S with 34/34 (3.308 diffed limitless) with 0.84 ripple

Think I've got my Typhon setup at 32/34 with the TP 4060 2620kv last pass was 106 on 4s I believe. Think I'm going to try and make a pass with it today running the BSR's for the first time. Actually nice out just my road is still dirty on the big end so hopefully don't loose control on breaking with all the dirt on the road at that end.

So here's 25/40 gearing.everything looks good.low ripple,not much sag for aggressive trigger pulls.still building rpms when lifting.will need to go to speedrun spot for full pull an. Best #s,especially as I start gearing up.i removed cappack an shorten pack to esc wires an so far all good.i must have a 58 ttc for mount.so next ill go 30/40.hopeing that put me in the 90s..ill rig up a parallel 4s before its said an done.

No I haven't as I'd need to raise the body to get dual packs to fit so that's just with a single 5000mAh G+ and a 9500mAh 90c. Going to run the 9500 today and see if I gain anything with the bigger BSR's and try and warm my pack today as I've never done that so packs always been cool.

With GP5 diffs. Best with the Typhon is 107 on 4s 108 with the Limitless on 4s.

So i need to shoot for about 137 on my calculator an it should put me about where your at ..it'll be couple more logs,gear changes before I'm up there.heres yours an my next runs gearing on my calculations. Guess I'll go30/32 next..

So I just checked and I'm at 31/34. Made a bunch of attempts today but couldn't get her straightened out was just all over. Still pulled 101mph though so not bad at all for not good passes and all over the place for sure. Looking it over noticed a lot of play in the front left outdrive so either have a broken pin or satellite gears and know that's why she wouldn't straighten up no matter what I did. But got my fix been almost 2 months I think since I ran and still pulled 101mph on 4s so not bad at all especially being all over the place and short passes. Have to check the log but would guess I didn't even hit 100% throttle if so was for a 1/10 of a secound before having to let off.

3.308 are the standard diffs on the limitless. As most (incl me) are running gp5 (2.8) it required mentioning.

With the rather low voltage of 4S a high gear ratio (and ampdraw) is required to reach any speed at all. Libery's 2S 37/34 on gp5's is an even more insane gearratio

Go with 33/32 tomorrow.hoping for 100+.might try running 4s parallel with this gearing,excited to see if extra mah an extra pack weight help with higher #s an to compare logs.

I haven't even pulled the log yet but I will let you know when I pull it. I'd guess about 350 running the TP 2620kv and mmx8s.

No way?? You think it's that high??mmx8s 4050cm only pulled 260a on 91mph.i feel this setup is Not aero friendly at all.lots of downforce feel..its got the kraton wing mount,that's sits alot farther back an higher than stock one,equaling more downforce.toward the end ill swap for low profile wing.having some fun testing...easy to be more consistent an good for practicing trigger pulls running 4s.hold full throttle for ever ..
