Advice on a durable, low weight, jump friendly RC

Up to 2 meter high jumps, up to 8 meter long jumps and landing on grass.

So what should I buy?

If the only purpose is jumping, probably a 3s granite (shortest wheel base and biggest tires for easier flips) and just replace the plastic stock parts with more cheap plastic stock parts.

For sure any “jumper” you will need a good bash bar. I would say pay the extra and get one from RCMadlabz on eBay. The m2c brace won’t protect the nose or tail.

You will also need a good solution for the motor support so that the mount plate doesn’t bend. Lots of cheap, easy solutions there.

You gave the height and distance you want to jump, but didn't mention if you are looking to do flips/tricks/etc. or just find one that flies nice and smooth. For flips/stunts the shorter wheelbase with larger tires will be your best bet, so Granite/Vorteks for 3s, Kraton/Outcast 4s, or Notorious 6s depending on your budget. For basic jumps without flips/stunts any of the Arrma rigs would work but I would stick to lighter rigs (any offroad 3s/4s rig or the 6s Typhon) for the inevitable bad landings that happen sometimes.

If these are too expensive look at hbx 16998 pro (or whatever it is) brushless or mjx hyper go 1/16

You mentioned height, but lets be real, you will not adhere to these paramaters. Trust me. You just want to send it. Not knowing how your driving skills will be. Don't think you will "send these" like all the YT videos you see "without any breakage". And you are better off with the 6s Arrma line IMHO.
Kraton 6s is the best all around RC choice. If you cant afford one, save up some more $$. Don't sell yourself short is what I am saying. There are also other brands to consider as others mentioned above.
Tekno MT410 is a great KIT to build. Need at least $1k to build one. This may not be for you. But I have one and am happy with it. I like to Build them. RTR's cant hold a candle to kit built rigs. It is also one consideration. If new to RC, I would pass on one for now. Get a RTR to keep it simple. A 6s Kraton.

How much are you wanting to spend? Hard to pin down the best suggestion without that info.
We ain’t salesman. When I first got into this hobby I hated for a hobbyshop owner ( salesman) to ask me that.
”How much can I charge you dumba$$” Kraton 6s to me is the best to start with. It has the parts to build all the rest of them already in it. Spend $50 at Jenny’s it’s a Notorious

Nah you can do an MT410 build for way less than that.

MT410 $339.99 after $30 off coupon on Amain.
dBoots Backflip LPs ~$70 (Jenny's rc isn't much cheaper than retail on these.)
WP-8BL150 from Jennys $76
Spektrum Firma 2050kv motor from Jennys $38
Amazon servo $30
Body $44
DUMBORC X6 $43.

$640.99 before any shipping and taxes. I am sure I could get it even cheaper sourcing items on Aliexpress.

You just described about 50 million RC's. Weight is subjectable depending on users' muscles and effort they want to put in.

That's a mini. I don't think it'll do 8 meter jumps well. Parts availability can also become a problem with unknown brands.

Good point, it can be done(y)
Good pick on the electrics.(y)
The only question is if the OP wants to build up a kit.
Best way to go for sure. Cant beat the quality. Hands down. Fit and finish.
A Very light weight platform. Very balanced chassis layout. Will fly with just 4s packs too. Cheaper than 6s packs.... How I run mine.
The HW Sensored electrics put me to $1k+.

Thx for the tip

It looks interesting for a small/normal good cut grass backyard basher, what do you all think?
If you’re looking to go on grass, bigger is usually always better! I believe people also think these are great cars but if you’re doing high jumps the smaller lighter 1/16 will be better

Yeah you could easily get into the 2k range if you started going with M2C parts.

Anything smaller than 1/10 will suck in the grass, you have to run them in dirt, gravel or on the street grass is way too much for them even if it is cut short.

Would be helpful to start by knowing what you have. Do you have any RCs already that you're doing this with and want better? Are you starting fresh and want a beginner recommendation? As stated above, your criteria is pretty open. You could get recommendations for about 50% of all RCs out there. if you are looking for some more specificity, you may want to enlighten us.

If was to throw my dart at the board, i'd say the rival MT10. Arguably it's "cheap", "light", and "durable enough to handle some bigger jumping" (especially with some minor upgrades).

You tube has videos on how to build a cheap ramp.
