Here’s my Mojave. I just installed a M2C chassis and I found a much better fan for the HR heatsink that runs on 24V.

New setup is a BEAST. Motor did not go over 155F even with hard throttle for 15 mins straight (6S). This should leave me with plenty of thermal headroom if ambient temps spike again. The stock system was pretty much useless on a 105F day. I have a radar gun coming in the mail that I hope to get speed readings with.

I replaced my Savox SB-2273SG CE with a Futaba S9373. The Savox was a carryover from my Kraton and while it’s got plenty of torque I felt it was too slow. The Futaba at .06sec/60 is lightning fast. I also have a GYC441 gyro tucked into the rx box and I can't believe how well it tracks with the gain turned up.

Currently running 19/50 gearing, seems to be plenty fast for me.

I think this covers most of the stuff on this truck that isn't stock anymore.

Sweet build. I’m really eyeing a Mojave ?

Thanks !

I like running the hoons on pavement. The biggest Robinson pinion I could get to fit was a 24T. Happy to report the setup is running very well. Really blows the stock system out of the water.

Like running mine on pavement sometimes also. Haven’t messed with it too much with exception of first buying it. Swapped the arms etc over to kraton and ran it some. Liked it better as a trophy truck so I swapped back. Kept the kraton rear hubs, axles and hexes on the stock arms. Never had any issues with the wheel hexes. Guess I just prefer my monster trucks to actually look like a monster truck instead of the truggy kraton. If they don’t do a big rock 6s or something similar I’m just going to get an xmaxx or a Cen. Holding out for arrma tho, I like their commitment to what customers request and how they have developed the models based on what we like. The traxxas proprietary body mounting and ridiculous expense for parts is a turn off.

Awesome! I did just pick up the M2C wheel hexes, and mushroom head droop head screws.

With 21/50 gearing and stock worn Fortresses I managed to clock 55mph on the Bushnell radar gun. Running at a cool 145 degrees.

Also installed EXB diffs, and the “safe” keyed outdrives. Everything fit like a glove, but the diff and pinion needed shimming. Currently running 10k/20million/50k and it handles like it’s on rails.

I noticed the tires are well worn, like my Mojave V2. What about upgrades for the stock Mojave wheel/tire combo. There there anything out there that would be a step up?

Do you have a body on shot with the bigger felony boons? Looking for some on road tires I just think the og hoons look to small on the Mojave.
