Hi all, sorry for yet another Senton tire question. I did read through most threads prior to posting, from what I've read belted tires seem to be recommended , still being a new to the hobby I want to make sure I get the 'right' tires that fit without any body trimming. I too, just got the Senton 3s and had a tire rip on my 2nd run =(. Horizon says they will replace it 'when it becomes available') but I can't wait. I'm open to getting a 12mm adapter but couldn't find any in stock. Any recommendations?

would any of these fit? Thank in advance..

I would go with 12mm conversion. I went through the same issue, and finally decided to purchase the 12mm hex and I'm not looking back.
I'm not familiar with this store but they have a phone number. I looked across the internet and looks like they are back-order and most places are out of stock. I guess I got lucky as I found some on eBay a couple of weeks back.

Call places like this before ordering.

Then get something like these.

DURATRAX 2.2/3.0 SC LOCKUP C2 TIRES MOUNTED 5-SPOKE WHEELS

PART NUMBERDTXC3671
WIDTH1.74 (41mm)
OUTER DIAMETER4.25 (108mm)

BTW-
The tires you are looking at are MT and not SC sizes. 4.8 diameter will require body adjustments.
Stock size --> SPECIFICATION

3.0" (76mm) Outer bead diameter

2.2" (55mm) Inner bead diameter

1.85" (47mm) Width

4.13" (105mm) Outer diameter

You need to look for 2.2 / 3.0

Thank you for you help. I wasn't expecting it to be this hard to get new wheels. Look like 12mm is the way. hopefully they are in stock as the website says.

one other question, are you saying the ST tires won't fit either? I figured the MT wouldn't, but was hoping the ST i linked would...=(

Thanks again for your help and providing links to those adapters i had been searching all over for them.

These are the biggest tires I could fit on my senton without having to trim the body.duratrax2.8 . I have hot racing 10 mm adapters. Raise the body post
Mine where 17mm not sure if they have 12mm.but they will fit under senton. These duratrax wheels are the best I've tried.still have to regular on 3s.don't GET THE SOLID WHITE WHEELS DURATRAX HAS.JUUUUUNK

I just orderded the 14mm Adapters from Mytobbies from the link above,. I called and said they were in stock.. we'll see... lol

If you pull the 14mm hex off.there is pin thou axle.if you got a pin that matches your new 12mm hex.igot bout 40 of them pins,I got all different sizes from previous mods.u being newer to hobby u probably don't have that option.tiny allen screw holding that 14mm on.good luck

Sorry about the confusion.
The ST is a Stadium Truck size and will fit with body modifications and possible aftermarket body risers. I stick with the SC sizes. These are the ones I'm currently running.

As you can see here at Pro-Line, they use SC as the category.
https://www.prolineracing.com/short-course-tires-premounted/

Just make sure to get 12mm (after hex adapter is installed) and always get 2.2/3.0 and you will be good to go.

All of the Pro-Line tires are probably good, but too pricey for me.

IMPORTANT:
Forgot to mention that the Pro-Line uses the 6x30 removable hub system>

@K-BASH --> "learn from me.badland belted sct the narrow ones"
Trying to decipher the reply.
Are you referring to these tires?

Also, to clarify.
@K-BASH -->"IVE gone thro least 5 sets in less than a yr."

I'm assuming your driving style/condition wears on the rubber. Although I'm a newbie, and only have less than 2 months into driving and testing tires, the following is my experience.
Using the tires I have mentioned including the stock that came with the car, I have not worn or torn the rubber. Granted, I do drive on hardpack dirt and sometimes loose rock/sand. I don't drive hard on cement and my driving style is closer to racing than bashing.

Thank you guys, looks like I got a lot of reading to do, I really appreciate your help. Hopefully those 12mm Hex adapters do actually ship, while I wait though, and in case they don't ship, I may have to get 14mm tires. I rubber cement the ones that ripped as it's my only pair to buy me time and get my fix lol but..

those pro-lines are little bit too pricey for me too, i think those beleted DuraTrak tire should be enough

I'm ok getting these ST belted tires?

Keep in mind, they are classified as Stadium Truck tires. Sorry about the previous comment thinking ST was the same as SC, I'm still learning. :)
NOTE: I updated my previous statements. My bad!

Duratrax makes some in 14mm.ive tried 3 sets of duratrax.cant keep them on rims.nonstop glueing..trying 17mm stock senton 6s next.will update after 1st run

What kind of glue are you using? How much and in what areas? I had a Six Pack 2.8 come off the wheel today and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it to stay back on now.

So far I've had one wheel break and two tires come loose using Duramax Six Pack 2.8s... I'm going to re-glue the tires, and luckily got a free replacement for the wheel. Really not impressed with anything but the grip level.

Seems like the stock tires and the Duramax ones both are really problematic for me (I run 3S). Really didn't count on so much failure in this area, and didn't budget for it either. Oh well.
