I just broke off an allen ball head in my grub screw behind my arrma to grp wheel adapters. It's bound and I can't get it to drop

out. First time I put them on and don't want to damage them and need a new 50 dollar set fml

Hammer the pin out, then you can remove the stub axle from the carrier and use heat/beat to try and extract the broken hex tip.. worst case you’ll have to replace the stub axle.

Btw, welcome. :)

A good magnet should remove that, ball ends are not designed for initial loosening or final torque.

The ball end hex wrenches are great for off angle access but also have minimal surface contact.
Those grub screws are tricky more often than not. Heat is always recommended BEFORE ya strip them. Soldering iron or pencil torch work great.
Arrma is all or nothing when it comes to thread locker..🤷‍♂️

Had one of those grub screws so tight from the factory it had bent the pin and I had to drill it out. To their credit Arrma sent me an entire new hub assembly and drive shafts so that if I had failed in drilling I could just replace it. One thing that always comes in handy in RC is a nice set of hex wrenches. I personally have a set of Wera hexes and haven't stripped a hex since getting them.

Nice! I have a set of Wiha bits for the drill/bit driver. They're pretty good, I've had to grind the tips down on the 2.0, 2.5mm to "freshen" them up.
They're better than the price would suggest, I actually paid almost twice this price 2 years ago. Maybe I need another set? LOL
