Vorteks Any reasons why I should not buy this bunch?

So, I found this on Facebook marketplace, £600 for all, sent a message for exhaustive list of items. the Typhon seems to be the mega, the Vorteks 3s blx, with extra body, seems minimal use. extremely expensive spektrum charger, spektrum smart battery checker and servo driver, lipo bags, car stand, tools, etc.
I put some of the stuff together on modelsport and it came out as £880, excluding the lot of parts you see on the pics.
I messaged the seller to list all those because I am considering this. The parts are probably another £100, so say, £1000 value in this new, so £600 might be a good deal?
I was thinking of a parts car anyway OR my son would need a vorteks too.
what do you think of the value of this lot?

Try it.. here in Los Angeles fair deals aren’t really selling right now. So if you made a reasonable offer.

Many people start out at about half the cost of new which would be around 440 based on your calculation.

Try and offer less. If they don't budge, grab it. It's a good deal no matter how you look at it. There's at least 100.00 in batteries, 50.00 in tools and at least 50.00 in parts. The Typhon can be easily converted to brushless. You won't regret it.

Man, that vorteks looks really good. Like it was hardly used. Same with the typhon. Yeah it’s worth 5-600. I would say closer to five with the state of things currently and time of the year. So offer $475, let him talk you up to $525 max but try to get it for 5 even.

I am not sure how UK prices differ from the US but that looks like a sweet bundle that has very little use. Good luck

One thing to note, I find chargers and batteries have very little resell value compared to retail. Something to consider.

To put things in perspective this is what a Kraton 6s costs in the UK £598.99 that is about $739.52 USD.

Yes but they owned and distributed by Horizon Hobby a US based company. I have heard nothing good about Horizons division in the UK or Europe for that matter.

The 2 cars would be £600 new, together. The rest of items makes it up to around £1000 in value

I agree about chargers and lipos. And I see many who jump aboard all the Spektrum Smart stuff, end up getting "Dumb" chargers and lipo's in the end.
End up Buying twice. The Dumb stuff is actually the smarter way to go.

Thats a good point because thats what makes this offer worthy, the charger bits. I wonder whether Id be able to sell those easily?

If it works for you, go for it. Maybe you sell the charger and lipos. If the price is a good negotiable one, then its not tragic, just use that Smart gear. Only because it' a deal. If you have the original reciept for the Smart Charger and lipo, Horizon hobby will warranty them if need be. I think.

Im in the UK, the warranty process would be through like 1-2 vendors before it d get to horizon.

Im not interested in the smart stuff, unless it would work w my non Spektrum batteries. So I d probably sell the charger and battery checker

IIRC you can charge normal batteries with the Smart chargers.

That might be useful but still doesn't make sense to keep a £170 charger to do what a £80 charger does(Overlander 2x100W), but other than that, if I get the two cars, I need another charger to charge my batteries quick.

Btw SkyRC now has a quad charger for the price of this Spektrum charger
