I'm thinking of picking some up for my Nero and was wondering if anyone who owns both the Nero and Outcast have done a tire swap.

If so, how did they do?

Nope, actual I habe Big Joe II onto the Nero Big Rock.
Later on I will run 1:5 cross tires on it but I have to design and build hex-bulks with 24mm Hex.
I will run bead lock rims from HPI and the cross tires because of the ballooning problem and the grip...

Does anybody have an idea for that kind of adapter (17-> 24mm Hex)?

Yeah, thats the tires which I have chosen, but it looks like rims with 17mm hex.
I do also choose just the front tires because of their weight. they are just an little heavier and close to the original size of the Big Rock tires.
I want to use the HPI-Bedlock rims because I do not really like glueing tires..
The HPI rims have an 24mm hex and till yet I have no idea how to make an adapter from 17mm to 24mm.

Anyway, comes time, an idea will come.. ;)

My tires are maybe 5mm bigger than the original Big Rock tires. The wideness is almost the same.
But the Nero BR-tires are less wide than from a normal Nero.

I did, but it made the Nero very flip and roll happy and unstable with all the grip, went back to stock and put them on my Kraton build.

Just for information..
I do not recommend the Proline Big Joe II onto an Big Rock with 6S.
The wheels are ballooning like pizza cutters with all diffs open.
It was just possible to drive this wheels with a locked center diff.
On the other hand, the have a lot more grip than the original dboots; really a lot more!
