Lol no more like 40cm haha. Well 400mm on the Outcast, only needed 200mm on the Kraton

I run these on all of my rigs as well, although mine are mounted in a spot where I can easily peak under the body w/o having to take it off to check the voltage. One suggestion, consider wrapping some colored tape ( I used electrical tape ) around the monitor in case it flies off the car. I've lost one during a hard crash. Trying to find a tiny black box in grass when it liberated itself 50 yards away from you is hard. The colored tape makes it easier to spot.

I'd say it's never a bad idea to have a backup. Relying on LVC is a gamble to some extent, so having both is better. I guess it depends how hard we run our rigs as to whether attaching the alarm to the body is worthwhile.

400mm does not equal 4m. 400mm = 0.4m. 4000mm or 400cm would equal 4m.
Is that generous? Yes.
Is it ridiculous? No.
