All I would have to buy would be the larger 3674 motor as I have a free BLX185 coming and also metal HD slipper assembly
CVD driveshafts, the extra power is likely to make the stock driveshafts pop.
Who doesn't want more speed??? But no I agree with you there, the 3s setup at 50+mph is more than enough speed especially with how squirly the Granite is. I honestly just want to be able to run a 3s 7200mah pack with no heat issues/cogging or over stressing the electronics.
As you noted, the Granite won't go faster without flying off the road. It's not meant to be a top speed RC. If you don't want to overheat, get a motor fan (aluminum is a must if you're bashing hard.) I love my 7200mah, it gives me over 30 minutes run time. But a motor fan was immediately necessary. BLX120 may run a little cooler on 3s than the BLX100, but I haven't noticed a huge difference. With a 15 tooth pinion on 3s, I only overheat running in thick grass for an extended time. But I don't run that way. I don't even check temps anymore unless I'm running in particularly high spinning situations for a long time.
