Anything wrong with 3s lipo?

I have been using a 3S lipo with my Fury MEGA and my motor burnt and started smoking out after about 8 drives and I don't know if this is a problem with using a 3S or if it's normal for rc. The instruction manual says it can get faster with a 2S lipo but it does not say anywhere not to use a 3S. I am new to the world of RC so yeah...
Also, does anyone know where I can get a good 540 size brushless for as cheap as possible? Because at 13 it is hard to get money. Thanks!

Ithink that 3s is too much power for a brushed motor 2s is max as far as I know

You have burnt the brushed motor because of the power of a 3S.

Look at other posts in the electronics area because there are some good recommendations.
